Two trades:

Your score is: 4110 (Drafting Ability: A-, Player Quality A, Future Draft Picks: N/A)

Your Picks:
Round 1 Pick 31 (DEN): Justin Gilbert, CB, Oklahoma State (A)
To me, the best CB in the draft and fills a huge need across from Lewis

Round 2 Pick 27: Kyle Van Noy, OLB, Brigham Young (A)
Potent pass rusher and versatile, definitely a Rob Ryan guy

Round 2 Pick 31 (DEN): Shayne Skov, ILB, Stanford (A-)
Pretty sure its a must on this site to draft Skov. And he's a smart, tackling machine

Round 4 Pick 8 (MINN): Bryan Stork, C, Florida State (A)
If you ask me, de la Puente is horrible and needs to be replaced

Round 4 Pick 24 (CINN): Daniel McCullers, DT, Tennessee (A)
A McCullers/Jenkins combo in the middle could be lethal

Round 4 Pick 27: Donte Moncrief, WR, Ole Miss (A)
A tall speedy receiver to stretch the field

Round 5 Pick 24 (CINN): Tajh Boyd, QB, Clemson (A)
Felt obligated to take him here because he is a good QB, and we could groom him

Round 5 Pick 27: Chris Boswell, K, Rice (B+)
Is there any surprise that a kicker was drafted?

Round 6 Pick 27: Cody Hoffman, WR, Brigham Young (B-)
Another tall receiver for Drew Brees to throw to

gotta do one with no trades too, they are too easy with the trades

For more realism I recommend trading no more than twice.

just about every time I get to the 2nd round, Houston is wanting to trade their 3rd round pick and their fourth pick (4th pick in each round).

just can't pass that up, mayne.

Round 4 Pick 27: Jeremy Hill, RB, LSU (A)

I like this draft. And I drafted Boswell because he is the best kicker coming out and I am tired of taking chances on retreads. Need to try a new approach to our kicking game.

Would have to address WR in FA.

I see a few taking Mosley at 27. I agree that he is big value there. My question on him is how he fits a 3-4. His strongest asset might be pass coverage & blitzing ability. He just doesn't look like a 3-4 OLB. Put him inside and he prolly needs more heft than 232lbs. As a 4-3 weakside backer he's a slam bang pick. I'm not big on drafting guys in the 1st Rd who haven't played the position you envision them for either.

I think they list him as OLB because that is where he would be the best fit.

at least to them.

He would be able to play ILB in the defense the Saints run.

Some of the time when I'm messing around with this thing, a player that I wanted just isn't there. So I end up with Moseley at #27.

in reality, he probably won't even be there on draft day.

he is taller than Lofton and Hawthorne but is only a few pounds lighter.

I don't think size is a problem.

I've actually liked picking the tackle from Tennessee first, Antonio Richardson.

he's more of a mauler and a tough run blocker.

Moseley is going to be at the Senior Bowl.

unlike the golden boy AJ McCarron, Moseley is a local who isn't above participating.

Van Noy from BYU will be there. I've seen people mention him on here.

the rosters aren't completed yet though.

The Falcons staff will coach the North team.

The Jaguars staff will coach the South team.

everyone will start to arrive on Saturday.

basically the only days worth a damn anymore are Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday.

they pretty much conduct their practices like a pro team does these days.

not a lot of hitting.

that wasn't how they used to do it, let me tell you.

Bama plays a ton of 3-4 (where he played inside). Plus we run a lot of 4-2-5. I'm not really into trading up, but if Mosley is somehow there at 27, or someone is willing to trade down 3 or 4 spots on the cheap, I'd jump on it. I think he'll end up having one of the top 5 NFL careers of defenders in this draft. The only thing that gives me pause is that ILB just isn't a super important position. Lofton and Hawthorne were pretty awful last year and we had the #4 defense. Getting a B+ WR or CB would be more valuable than an A- ILB.

ETA: On the other hand, LB is probably the second easiest position to adjust to the NFL behind RB. 9 of the last 10 DROYs were LBs (though 3 of those 9 were OLB/DE, 6 of 10 for 4-3 LBs or 3-4 ILBs is significant). Mosley would probably have a bigger impact on our 2014 defense than literally any defender in the draft, including Clowney, Barr, and Dix.

Would fvck a duck for this draft.

No chance Mason lasts until the 3rd, though. Outside of that it's pretty realistic.

good report on Mosley. He is a player that I could see nearing can't-pass-on value. I pause just thinking along these same lines, " Getting a B+ WR or CB would be more valuable than an A- ILB. "

I'm in the camp that thinks it is a strong possibility that Greer retires. IF that happens, that's where that thought comes to focus. At #27 the 3rd ranked CB (Justin Gilbert on my early board) could still be a better selection for the Saints than the top ranked LB.

In my no-trade draft here I took Skov in the 2nd Rd. I think he has solid value there and is also good enough that he could put pressure on Lofton & Hawthorne. They both look uncuttable for 2014 but either could be replaced in 2015.

I think its very slim chance Mosley is there for our pick *Stephen A SMith Voice* HOWEVER, if he's there for our pick, you have to take him over whatever 3rd or 4th best corner is there.

The Saints are a BPA team in general but need does factor into the equation. The dynamic of that scenario is widely different if Greer is back or not.

Second, this is the earliest I have seen so much draft talk here. There is still a lotta shakeout to be had thru the games and combine, etc. On a Big Board I can envision the #3 CB having a higher rating than the #1 ILB.

Mosley is a need. Hands down no ifs ands or butts.

CB is still a need but the biggest need does in no way mean that's what's being picked round 1.
