Hearing the same thing about Miles wanting Orgeron and Orgeron wants to be at LSU and may wait on signing onto Bama to see if a position opens up at LSU

I would hate to see Brick leave, but Ed O would be a fantastic hire if he is willing to stay at LSU or Bama for a long period of time. I hope he comes to terms he would be an average at best HC.

Actually hearing UGA may look at him for DC too.

Other than rumors that someone says they heard someone say about someone?

Haley is a better coach and is a great recruiter. I'd rather him than Orgeron. Haley is also one of the lower paid coaches on our staff which is kinda baffling to say the least. If they could push Ensminger to admin, let Henry coach TE+WRs with a pay raise and find a place for Orgeron to coach DL with Haley it might work.

If they could make that work it would be awesome but probably wishful thinking. We do need his recruiting ability on the staff. Him combined with Haley would be beastly.

I understand piling on the idea of him as a head coach....but why do some rantards think this is somehow a bad thing for Bama? He's probably the best recruiting-assistant coach in the nation....even if he is below average at actual COACHING of devensive lineman, its still an outstanding hire.

No it's not. Why? Because like you say he is below average at coaching. You mention recruiting. I don't see why this points to O being an outstanding hire. So Bama is now going to be able to recruit really well that O is on staff lol?

Recruiting was never a problem that needed to be fixed at Alabama. If anything, they maybe could have used some better DL coaching.

I love this hire for Bama.

Where is this nonsense coming from that Orgeron is a below average coach?

Dude is a decent position coach. Stop the hating.

Who is Orgeron's agent? We know Kiffen and Saban are both with Sexton, IMHO the biggest reason Kiffen was hired. But Orgeron? If he's repped by Sexton, that's all we need to know - welcome to T-town.

Best Case Scenario would be to let Orgeron coach DL, move Haley TO LB's, (Where he coached and played in college) and then Chavis could handle the Mass Confusion that is the LSU Defensive Secodary.

We definitely don't need O at Alabama with his recruiting ability and Louisiana roots.

Les should have grabbed him the day after he didn't get the USC gig. You snooze, you lose.

This shite is really going to pizz me off if it goes down. No way to Sunshine Pump it as good for LSU either, though I'm sure a few of the "We'll be Fine" fartknockers will give it a good geaux.

Kiffin goes down in flames at USCw.

Orgeron shows him up by taking over and finishing with a respectable record. Perhaps because he was undermining Kiffin all along.

Quite the misconception. Kiffin and Orgeron have a good working relationship. It is funny to watch Bama fans that have ridiculed these two in the past do an about face, but the fact is that Saban knows what he is doing.

The production of our DL has been meh since Haley has been here. He's been a good recruiter, but our DL has not dominated. The worst part might be the DL rotation. We refuse to make changes to the DL reps, regardless of the production that we see on the field. And, we have upperclassmen taking plays/games off with zero repercussions.

I know that most here think Brick is some kind of god of the DL. But, the DL performance on the field has been between average to good his entire time here. He's been a big disappointment to me.

Guys, Chavis is not working with Orgeron.

If you want Eddie Money, you are going to have an entirely new defensive staff.

Honestly, why do you want the trouble? Haley is 10x the coach as Hummer man. If you take out the purchasing of play, Haley out recruits O as well. The desire for this guy baffles me.

All this speculation regarding where Orgeron will end up and what his intentions are and I've yet to see a link to a legit source on any of it.
