I was referring to the reaction outside of the Alabama fanbase.

I remember Bama fans couldn't walk through doors sideways because of their raging hard-ons after they hired Nick.

Think he's talking about everyone other than Bama fans, bro.

I'm don't believe anything special will come out of Kiffin but my arse would be on the floor if Kiffin turned Alabama into an offensive machine this year and raped every team in its path barring a stiff dew

My popcorn is ready.

I guess I'm the only one skeptical. Ok, seems legit to me too then. Yay for Kiffin!

Well if you can't trust Zac from Indianapolis Twitter account that has a link to a dead URL for a home page who can you trust?

But seriously CNS will keep him in check no worries right now but his play calling and coaching skills will be watched closely in the A-Day game and going forward. imho

Last time Lane Kiffin was OC it was 2005 USC….two 1000 yard running backs,1000 yard wide receiver. Avg 579 yards, 49 points per game.

2005 was his first year as OC. 2006 was his last year as OC. Check out the stats from that year and get back to me.

All of your concerns come from Kiffin as the HC. With Saban, he won't even be able to talk to the media. He was great as OC in LA under Pete Carroll and he will be great as OC in Tuscaloosa.

Not to mention recruiting just hit another level, if there even is one above what we do now.

Fan of the hire.

I, for one, won't believe it until I see it. The hiring. Then I'll throw up. Then I'll embrace the shite-storm. Time for the black jerseys. Every home game.

after having 3 head coaching jobs, including one in the NFL and the other two at very high profile colleges, it will take a very humbled person to come back to being an OC

WTF? Dude needs a job and OC at Bama is about as high profiled of a job you can get outside of being a HC somewhere. And NO ONE was going to hire Lane as a HC any time soon. He's not being humbled here. In fact, I serously doubt that guy has one ounce of humility.

This hire is so mind boggling.

I understand the recruiting aspect of the hire and that may be the min reason he gets the job imo...but he wasnt that great an oc just a product of tremendous talent....hell most of us on herecould have coached the 2005 usc team and hadas much success

Not sure about that. His 2013 class fell apart at the end, and his 2014 class was terrible when he got fired. His credibility has taken a blow. I think he'll be fine, but I doubt he'll be a super recruiter for y'all.
