I don't understand it either, the guy has done absolute dick to merit any high profile coaching job.

Eh, how "high profile" is a job when he will only be allowed to speak with the media two or three times a year?

Kiffin knows where all the bodies are buried and has all kinds of dirt on people. It's the only way I can rationalize how he keeps getting high profile gigs.

Seems like an utterly terrible hire, but Saban knows best.

Saban has officially lost it if this hire goes through.

This reminds me of Charlie Weis to UF, except Kiffin isn't fat

I actually don't mind the hire I like his recruiting record outside of the Alshon Jeffrey recruitment and his offensive playbook is considered pretty good in most coaching circles but hopefully CNS will teach him a bit of humility and he will give BAMA the pro style offensive play calling and five star recruits to keep the BAMA machine running on all cylinders.

It's like these guys think Bama hired him as HC. I hate the hire myself. Bama just got better.

When players from USC were ecstatic about him leaving, then almost going Braveheart for Orgeron! It screams, the guy is exciting at first and then becomes nauseating! Kiffin will replace Saban in 3 years an the place will go straight to hell!

Clearly you aren't, but you should be. I have no idea how Bama fans can rationilize this hire.

This guy is a fricking cancer. He is an immature child that brings NCAA microscope wherever he goes and scorched earth wherever he leaves.

Great hire Bama.

I'd venture to say Saban knows better what he's doing than any of us do. He's been around Kiffin on multiple occasions and has enough contacts & clout in the coaching community that he can find out whatever he needs to about him to make an informed decision.

It's old to see that everything Bama does is measure through the spectrum of "this is good for LSU because....". Kiffin can flat out recruit. He's a more than adequate play caller.

Why is everyone so convinced this is bad for Bama and good for the rest of us?

Dude you are melting down over the lack of a meltdown.

For a hire that hasn't even happened.
