struggling to win is irrelevant. this was a year inwhich pretty much the entire defense had to rebuild. we lost uga thanks to that. we lost ole miss thanks to an overaggressive OC and (or) qb; i guarantee you miles didn't dial up those long passes into double and triple coverage that were intercepted. this team was very close to being 12-1 or certainly 11-2. considering who we lost that was pretty damn good coaching this year.
of course, people view things different ways. you choose to trash les miles over a 10-3 record. there's so much critisism of les miles no matter what he does that he doesn't have a chance with some people.

The thing that always gets me about the miles haters is how they bring up the team's performance in WINS...
We almost lost to Arkansas...so what? We didn't...this is a stupid argument by these tards...
We also almost best Ga...does that make Mikes a better coach...?

no matter what they do its never enough
for some if lsu cant win by a blow out and win every game than they will bitch....
hell after bama loss they had a fan make a video saying if saban doesn't win the natty next year he should be fired....

wrong. arnsparger wanted out of coaching and left to be the AD at florida. and he was a figurehead there. he would have sucked as AD at LSU and LSU did the right thing saying no. arnsparger was a damn good football coach (except in bowl games) but he should not be on this list. while the admin did good by letting him go they really sucked at selecting his replacement.

I hope all you self-proclaimed psychiatrists are being well-paid for your stimulating and insightful diagnosis of fellow tiger fans.
You know it is possible....just possible.....that you can be a tiger fan and not think Miles is the greatest thing since sliced bread. The man has done a good job and racked up some impressive stats...which you all are always quick to point out....but for many people, his gaffes have tarnished some of what he's accomplished....it's really that simple.
No amount of bashing and berating by either side is going to change anything. Besides who GAF anyway....he's locked up for years to come.

it's funny people make fun of the way the man speaks when everyone in the world makes fun of how people from LA speak.

Yet here we are throwing out names that we think would be a better coach, yet i sit here and see these names change every year because in fact the guy the miles hater wants ends up getting beat by miles and has a losing season. Then they shut up for a bit until the next name comes up.
Then i see other sec programs struggle with new head coaches, and to top that all off, the richest program in football makes a very underwhelming hire and cant even get their first choice guy.
Even after all that, they still want the best coach in LSU history to take a walk. I will be laughing at Texas when they win 5 games next year, and laughing at arky and tenn and uf.

Comparing mac's and miles' vs. saban and bear bryant makes a whole lot more sense than seeing how miles did against mike shula. If you don't like the wording, fix it, but that is their records against the two important bama coaches in their 1st 9 years.
