Yeah Anderson is much more valuable than someone like Asik.

Holiday was only 1-9 and only got fouled once? Ouch. Tough, but he'll make up for it. Looking at the stats, jrue and reke seem to carry as much blame than ryno's defense. A combined 8-30 is bad.

we were up 94-91 with 3:40 left, then it all fell apart with a couple of bad defensive sequences, allowing Lin and Harden to hit a pair of 3s.

Ryno kept us in the game in the first half. Tyreke, and later Davis, kept us in it late.
Jrue seemed out of offensively all night. Did about as good a job as someone could do guarding Harden though. First time in a while I thought Harden was reffed fairly. Actually called some of those travels and there weren't the bogus flailing foul calls he usually gets.

Man this is so overused. You have shooters. Morrow is one of the best in the league. Davis is a PF. He and Anderson are both good players but they aren't good together because they play the same position. Davis needs to roam on D like Ibaka does in OKC. Him bodying up a team's best post player takes away from what he should be doing.

Again, Anderson's role on this team is to come off the bench with Evans and score. He's been logging center minutes because we've had no choice. The entire roster's been injured.

I agree. i just don't think ryno is a guy to have in the game during clutch time.
I just watched the last sequence again:
Jrue finally got a foul call with 2:58 left, missed one
95-97 Rockets
Dwight got a foul call on a putback that AD didn't get earlier and hit them. Maybe another big besides anderson could have prevented that.
95-99
Reke turnover
Harden went right over Anderson
95-101
Airminu 3 pt shot made
98-101
Parsons went right at evans and got the putback
98-103
Harden shook off holiday and made a jumper with shot clock running down
98-105
reke got rejected, harden made a couple of shots, and reke missed another one.
FINAL
AD seemed to shy away from the moment after he was taking over midway through the 4th.
Monty is using these guys in very strange ways. I think the talent in reke, jrue, and AD is great though. Ryno definitely does stuff for the team. I'd like to see him play all of the 2nd and 3rd quarter and finish with about 30 minutes a night against these bigger frontcourts.
There are certainly adjustments to make. I'd like to see Monty play reke at the 2 for most of the game. Reke has much more D wade and Harden in him than any SF i've seen. Aminu did hit a big 3 tonight that he rarely hits. Having what Ajinca brought us the past couple of night and what aminu brought us tonight every night would be great. We've seen flashes of a great team, though.
