As poor as bowl attendance is, I think the opportunities to set up a Michigan -LSU matchup or a LSU-Texas matchup will be appealing to the Bowl committees of either the Outback, Gator, or Cotton Bowls. That's my hope at least.

Screw the Cap Bowl. Shitty field, shitty stadium.

All those banners can't cover the rust.

I'm gonna go ahead and predict that the Cotton Bowl will work very hard to get a Texas vs A&M match up and LSU will get pushed down to the Chick-Fil-A bowl again and this board will be in melt-down mode.

Unless our fans are really fired up or it's a major bowl we suck at traveling to bowls. Ole Miss does a better job than us, this making us unattractive. We're not in a "roll" as far as our fan base is concerned, thus whatever worst case scenario that can happen with better bowls passing us up, that's what we're gonna get. So be prepared for chicken bowl again.

CAP 1 BOWL

to all of you still screaming over the field at this stadium. They have had field turf since the LSU Penn St. game. The mud bowl is long gone. Now back to dreaming of Jerry's World and the fifty dollar parking spots and $12 beers.

Chicken Bowl will NOT select us two years in a row!

The Bowls don't do that.

MSU has a lot of ground to gain in both the human

This statement does not hold water. If 2007 revealed anything, humans can be influenced to jump a team 4-5 spots.

If SEC or Bama fatigue is real, another 1-loss team will face a 1-loss SEC champ.

I would say 50% Cotton, 40% Outback, 5% Chicken, 5% Gator

Hope these odds work for us. I'd like a match up against Baylor/Okie State/Texas. Guess we should face these teams regularly from next year in bowl/post season.

Why? It has been discussed all year whether a 1-loss sec team would pass ohio state and today's bcs standings will be close

Matt Mizzou winning the Championship helps us correct?

Assuming that the cotton must take the SECCG loser if USCe goes to Cap one.

If Ohio State takes care of business and wins next week they hold their position

but if Ohio State stumbles their way into a win and Auburn Blows out Mizzou (or visa versa) then I believe Auburn jumps OSU.

The stadium is still 900 years old.

The field still sucks. It will rain. Do not go.

That puts Auburn in Cotton and us to Outback most likely. We probably avoid the chicken bowl because of last year so if it really gets bad we could be pushed to Gator.

If Auburn wins, we are all but locked into Cotton unless they really want Johnny Football, but I can't imagine them taking A&M 2 years in a row either.

For selfish reasons, I'm hoping to Mizzou wins because I've already been to Dallas enough times and want to see somewhere new.

Keeping my fingers crossed we never play in the Outhouse Bowl. I can visit Tampa/Clearwater/St. Pete another time. (preferably Spring Break!)

The Outhouse has screwed the west far too many times for us to go kissing their rear. I haven't missed a bowl in a dozen years but won't go to this one.
