Blake griffin has very few basketball skills but he's top 2 or 3 athlete in the league.

Sometimes that's all you need. Shaq was a horrible basketball player, but he was a physical monster. Once he learned to harness those gifts, he was unstoppable. Griffin is already a top 10-20 player, just by relying on his athleticism (ala V. Carter in his prime). Maybe he won't get better, but he'll still be a force to be reckoned with. He really just needs a mean streak and needs to start fighting back.

I hate the Clips as much as anyone but to say ALL Blake does is dunk is not true. He has flaws but hes improved his offensive skill set.

Sometimes I wonder if some of you actually watch other NBA games. Y'all remind me of my dad. Comments on things during playoffs when he hasn't actually watched other games since Michael Jordan played.

Duncan doesn't belong in the top five if we're going off of this season. The other 4 (Aldridge, Love, Griffin, Nowitzki) are all top 5, though I wouldn't have them in the order that he does. Davis is definitely top 5.

Yeah, I think he is at least top 5. But he might be more of a Center than PF. Heck, if I was making a list, my #1 PF would be L. James. He plays that position quite a bit and is a total mismatch for anybody in the league.

Okay. Well you see I play with the pelicans. AD gets buckets. He is number 4 in MVP race. Nuggets wanted to trade me gallinari and Hickson for Eric Gordon and stietsma so I didn't think twice. We have went beast mode ever since. Evans starts the 2 now. Anything else?

You've obviously have never seen Blake Griffin play if you think that. He literally couldn't make a shot outside of the paint his rookie year.

Griffin PER by year:

2010-11: 21.93
2011-12: 23.5
2012-13: 22.44
2013-14: 21.37

Griffin stats by year:
2010-11: 22.5/12.1/3.8
2011-12: 20.7/10.9/3.2
2012-13: 18.0/8.3/3.7
2013-14: 21.5/11/3.0

He shot a career high FG% his second season, back when he apparently couldn't shoot from outside the lane and everyone knew it, yet somehow, since he has learned how to shoot (still absolutely a prayer) and diversified his game, his FG% has gone down. His usage rate was highest in (you guessed it) his rookie year.

I mean, where has he gotten better? His statistics that have improved haven't improved enough to show any real significance.

Here's a graph I just created that charts Blake Griffin's overall growth as a player from his rookie season to present.

Rookie year ----------------------------------------------------------- Present

No. My brother and his lady friend went in my place. I have a late meeting in an hour or so.

someone grab his charts of where he shoots and what %.

If all he did was dunk in his first few years, he'll have high numbers (similar to andre drummond and his fg%).

As he develops and shoots more outside shots and dunks less, you expect him to drop in fg% no doubt.

If you called the Clippers and offered them any of these players straight up for Griffin, they'd laugh at you.

Griffin has higher VALUE than those guys sure, but he's not a better player. All those guys I named can actually score in the post and aren't nonfactors who can't make free throws come playoffs. Further, if we are talking playoffs let the record show Z-Bo bitchmade Blake Griffin two straight years in the postseason - which makes him not top 5 IMO.

He shot more and for a higher percentage as a rookie. If he was getting 10 shots at the rim/game then, why is he taking jumpers now? And if he has developed a jumper, wouldn't that add to his ability to get to the rim? Before players only had to wait for him around the paint. If he developed a jumper, they'd have to respect him more.

Griffin shoots like 66% in the paint and not above 40% anywhere else on the floor

Like someone said, the dude is scoring 21 PPG on 16 shots. Regardless of how he scores them, he is very efficient and isn't wasting his teams possessions
