Four hours is too long for a game. I swear the little CBS jerk with the red hat stood on the field for five minutes stalling the game and then after one play, he returned to the field for another five minutes of commercials.

I understand the contract and the SEC HQ's greed for more money but at what point is enough...enough? Let them play the damn game!!!

I kige this.

Especially since they have the capability now to edit graphics onto the field.

People get up for a beer or a bathroom break during the commercials anyway....they should cut down on the breaks and insert the Coca-Cola or McDonalds or Toyota logo onto the field.

What would be even better would be if you could earn credits by watching commercials and correctly answering questions about them, and you could use the credits to buy premium content. Like live in-game stat feeds, or getting Henderson's game call instead of Lundquist and Danielson. They probably already have the capability. They just need to implement it.

exactly right

its the curse of success

it feels good to be joyous after a win rather than just relieved

The only reason people are ok with yesterday is because Jennings did it.

If mett pulls it out, les and the team would be catching 11 kinds of hell.

We were a 28 point favorite. I'd say there's no way to sugar coat it, but clearly a glimpse of what looks like a bright future at qb has done it.

It's hard to say which one is better.

Exactly. You play to win rather than not to lose. We watched the game at home, and the whole crew was standing and pacing around the house when Jennings was preparing to take the first snap in the end-zone. Needless to say, no one sat down for a while...

One of my friends who went to LSU in the early 90's and has since quit smoking, said "This is just like LSU in the old days when I started smoking from the stress of the games."

I understand what you're saying. Complex feelings of fandom.

That being said, 75-0 win over bama would also be just as fun. Uknowit.

Do you hold the comeback win against Troy in 2008 in your fondest memories as well?

I do. I had to beg my dad to stay for one more possession. He finally compromised and said we'll stay one more possession, but if they don't score, we were leaving. Needless to say, that drive was the start of the comeback. It will always be one of my favorite games despite how completely unnecessary it should have been.

This is why, as a whole, the 2010 season is one of my favorites with every single game seemingly coming down to the wire.

A negatiger would say that LSU winning those games in close fashion was a bad thing, because it showed that LSU routinely plays down to its opposition, and that the team's mistakes put themselves in those conditions that necessitated such a gut check win.

I say, I wouldn't have it any other way. There can be no excitement without the fear. A game that LSU dominates is not "exciting" because there's rarely any doubt that the Tigers will win. However, a game like last night's, or Troy, where LSU needs a miracle to win it and it happens, that's pure magic. Even the games where they need a miracle and come up short, they may be heart-wrenching, but they are nothing compared to watching your team get destroyed on the national stage like on 1/9.

So, bottom line, enjoy the ride, because if we always won by 20, it wouldn't be nearly as fun.

I think it sucks that the college system has made it so that every win has to be in dominant fashion or it isn't a good win. Winning is hard enough to do on a consistant basis and is the overall point of the contest.

We all know that LSU my play down to their opponent. It isn't a big surprise, so deal with it and enjoy the W. Good teams find a way to win, even when they are supposed to.

I guess I'm being too level headed for most on here, but you could all do yourselves a huge favor by understanding the big picture and not get so wrapped up on things that you think matter when they really don't.

This team could have easily packed it in after Ole Miss and they have continued to fight. I think that speaks volumes for them considering a few breaks going their way could have changed the season tremendously.

Living in Tennessee and watching with around 10 Tennessee fans that day was amazing. I still get remarks to this day like UT had that game won or LSU cheating. All I need to say is Dooley couldn't count.

After following LSU throughout the McLendon years and the coaches that followed, it amazes me how many people can't bring themselves to appreciate what they've had at LSU with Saban and Miles.

Back when LSU fans would kill to be featured on national television, when a trip to a decent bowl signified a great season.

I thought that the Arkie game was one of the better LSU wins of the past few years. That's the kind of finish that you'd see in a movie. And then I talk to folks about it and they're, "We sucked. No way that should've been a close game."

LSU played to win against aTm as oppose to playing not to lose. They played not to lose against arkansas.

Good post,

I learned years ago, enjoy the experience more than anything.

Tiger Stadium was electric again in the forth quarter and I had a great time being there.

So we have to almost lose to a 25 point underdog to enjoy the game?

Me I'da enjoyed a 52 point romp just fine....

You have to admit its a bit frustrating to see this defense today compared to last week.

Yes, but keep in mind the difference between the two offenses. The are entirely two different mindsets.

Our offense was not terribily effective and helped Ark in their gameplan.
