So the Chase Sapphire appears to be yalls fav in most instances?

It's one of the more versatile cards. I have not decided that I am going to keep it when the renewal comes around. If I do renew it I will get the chase freedom.

It's my "everyday" card. I also have the AMEX SPG, United Explorer and Freedom and use them exactly like Teddy. I also use my Amex SPG for manufactured spending because of it's versatility and I get SPG Gold status. My wife has the Chase Ink and we use it to pay all of our bills and gas.

My next card will be the IHG Rewards card. It's only $49/year and gives you one free night ANYWHERE per year. That pays for itself. I will get my wife and I both one, and it will pay for a weekend trip every year.

The CSP offer says $0 Intro Annual Fee for the first year, after that $125.

Not that I would, but would I be able to cancel the card before the expiration of one year and not pay any fee?

Also, and this is undoubtedly a stupid question, but what "kind" of card is the CSP credit card (visa, MC, etc.?

I like to see someone who is doing it just like me. The Ink is on my list as a keeper as well. I'll sign up for the the Plus version, get the big bonus, then downgrade to the no fee version since the bonuses are all the same.

That Hyatt card is down the list as well. You're right, it pays for itself easier than most do.

I don't envy anyone who hits DM on segments. Thats just sounds miserable to me

I hope you are not on only CRJ's

My home base is SHV right now, so around half of that has been CRJ's unfortunately.

It sucks, bad.

We will actually do that as well.
I pay the fee on my United Explorer card as the free luggage for you and companion and 2 club passes is a nice perk. The free luggage pays for itself.

Haven't looked in to that much.
After the Chase IHG card I have to move out of Chase accounts for a while though.

I'll probably do a Southwest burner.

Just got my Vanilla Reload card last week Still haven't used it. I've just been doing strictly Amazon Payments for manufactured spending.

The silly games of credit cards I got sucked in to The wife just shakes her head every time she gets a new card in the mail(that I ordered her and she didn't know about). She says I have issues, but she sure likes the free travel.

Half of mine are on CRJs... I knew you were out of SHV... But I didn't know how many of your connections are on CRJ's that would be the worst thing ever

132 segments all on CRJ's would suck

Yeah, I work the majority of my time on the east coast or Northeast US, so I'm going through ATL or MEM and then riding much more comfortably from there.

The biggest issue I have with them are the maintenance issues, if I take the last flight out on Sunday its almost guaranteed to be delayed. The 6:30 SHV>ATL is at like 34% on time.

I generally get off that flight. I wonder how many times we've passed and never knew it

Just about everyone I know says the same thing. They probably think I have $50k in credit card debt. I'm such a nerd and get excited for each new card.

Same thing with my SO. I just hand her a new card and say, "use this and don't ask any questions"

My go to card for the past 2 years has been my trusty Marriott rewards card.

My wife and I went to Paris and stayed free for 7 nights in a category 7 hotel on the Champs-Elysees.

I'm almost back up to 150,000 points which will get us another free week at a category 5-7 anywhere in the world.

So, am I missing out? I don't do airline travel but a couple of times a year, once or so for work and once personal, so I don't think I fly enough to take advantage of airline cards.

We use a Kroger Visa and end up getting about $600 in free groceries throughout the year. I figure that is about as good as I am going to do, and I at least know I can use them.

The last time I had a card with airline miles and had enough for a free flight, the restrictions/options were so bad I almost didn't use it.

It's all about what categories you spend in so you can get the most bang for your buck

Do these new cards have categories you can figure out? I really don't know anything about them at all.

I got an invite in the mail to sign up for a Visa Black Card. Didn't know what it was, went to the web site and it mentioned a $495 annual fee.

Me too. I also follow a bunch of travel bloggers on Twitter so if something time sensitive comes up I'm guaranteed to know about it

I literally do not know anything about visa black

There are cards that warrant that type of fee. I pay close to that for my Delta Amex

Yes Teddy I do the same as well. I have a flight/miles list on Twitter
