I think early enrollee sums up their level of knowledge pretty well. Better than someone coming in during the summer but not as much as a sophomore

George Whitfield is also Logan Thomas' QB coach (among many others). I am just pointing this out because it's not like Whitfield always turns water into wine.

He isn't terribly bad this year (nearly 3000 total yards, 19 TDs). Hell his first year he had nearly 3500 total yards (3000 passing 470 rushing) and 30 TDs (passing 19, rush 11). He gets the stats, but he's a turnover machine.

You cannot take away what he has done with Cam, Manziel, worked with Philip Rivers under Cam, worked with Luck for the draft, worked with Big Ben the year we lost to GB in the Super Bowl. Worked with Landry Jones and Braxton Miller.

TM7 was a product of that same private school. Just saying.

Yea TM7 was a package corner. You guys are talking about dropping a whole offensive play book on LF in june with the belief that he was gonna start in August...not gonna happen

So you think Brandon Harris has a better shot at starting next year as a true freshman at QB in the SEC at a position we have good depth at over Fournette who is a generational talent at one of the easiest HS to college transitional positions and at a position of need next year? You're crazy man...I like you, but you're crazy.

Winston is now the standard that all talented African American Qb's coming out of hs will be compared to. Not saying BH doesn't have the potential, I'll just have to take the wait and see approach on this one.

Logan Thomas was compared to Cam Newton, RG3 was compared to Michael Vick. I'm sure the next black pocket passer will be compared to Teddy B. Hell, the guy committed to Clemson plays like a mix of Cam and Boyd. You could say Conner Shaw is Tebow lite, Taylor Martinez, Jordan Lynch, and Braxton Miller are the same. Collin Klein and Andy Dalton are carbon copies, and Mariota and Hundley are very similar.

Hundley and Winston remind me of each other and Harris could follow that path.

Don't say that dude. The JennSwag Worshippers won't be able to handle it. They're like .

Wont be so bad guys. HarriSwag still fits into the mold of what yall think a QB should be.

What with this god awful OL Miles/Wilson have assembled, combined with mediocre coaching by Studley, (Stud/Curley) a moble QB that can run and pass equally well, might be an advantage until the line starts to stabilize next season. (Pocic in the starting lineup will start to turn things around immediately in 2014)

From the time he walks up to the pony to the time he falls into the pool is easily one of the greatest comedy scenes of all time.

Yeah I agree with some of you that Harris being able to start as a true freshman, super talented or not, is very unlikely. Not only do you have to learn a very complicated playbook but you also have to learn how to make checks, call audibles, read defenses, manage the game, be a leader, etc.
Winston, Manziel, Luck, Tebow, McCarron, RG3, Leinart, etc - none of these guys started as true freshmen.

...and it frightens me to see so many people hoping to see him start as a true freshman. The LAST thing I want to see is a true freshman having to start. t's all about the shiny new toy, I guess.

I hope they redshirt him.
Because that will just means Jennings has a great year. Being that Jennings didn't redshirt this year, that'll put 2 classes between the two.

That'll give Harris plenty of time to play and learn and we aren't worrying about a QB controversy or a "2-QB system."

Jennings' mobility renders the 2QB system useless. Redshirt Harris. Let him start as a RS Soph.

We must remember Winston is a RS Freshman he had a year to develop...So hopefully Rivers or whomever takes firm leadership of this offense....

Harris will enroll in January. He will go through spring workouts with the team. Fournette wont be here until the summer...he won't interact with the coaches until August. I think that Harris will have a better chance than Fournette at seeing the field in the fall.

Sampson, why do you think Rb is an easy transition from HS to College? There is more to the position than just running the ball. LSU's Runningback's have to know blocking schemes as well, unless you're saying Fournette won't be asked to pass protect...but who am I to wake you from your pipedream?Dream on bro dream on...

Being able to run is one thing but being able to place a pass in the hands of your receivers under pressure is something totally different. Let's revisit this Jennings - dual threat QB thing after spring practice. If his accuracy doesn't improve let's see how many of you will be calling for him to start in the fall.

I'm actually a Rivers' fan but seems Jennings passed him. Rivers looked great in the spring.
