If Jordan M. develops a mid-range jumper, with his ball handling skills, and defensive presence he will land on an NBA roster. Not saying he is a one and done tho. Heck Garrett Temple made a roster, and Jordan have more upside than Garrett IMO

Completely different. Garrett is a 6'5 SG who is a defensive specialist. Mickey is a 6'7 PF...last I checked 6'7 is an average SF in the NBA. His game is by the goal blocking shots. He would do that averagely at best in the NBA. He needs to stay 2-3 years at least.

Indeed. 22 turnovers and they didn't even press much.

Still trying to define some roles. Coleman looks literally lost out there. His role may come to front man on the press and little else.

Stringer had alot of good open looks, but missed most until the last quarter of the game. I really only though he took one bad shot reminiscent of his past days. He just had an off shooting night.

When Martin comes back it gives Johnny another piece but also another challenge in getting the best mix out there.

A good problem to have but patience may be required.

Yea, we're in a great place right now. NSU is a tourney team and will give a first round opponent fits. Like you said, Stringer missed way too many shots, but they were wide open, he has to take them and I WANT him to take them.

I was pleased with the game tonight. I thought we were spotty at times on d and coleman just looked real bad. I was disappointed that we had so many turnovers, our 2nd half passing was bad and the d was bad at spots in the 2nd half.

However i thought our o looked good, we missed alot of wide open shots but i want us taking those shots other than colemans shots. I liked that we played up tempo and ran the floor some but also looked good in the half court game. We had some bright spots on d with good rotation and help. I was very pleased with how our young guys played and with our rebounding. We need to improve again on free throw shooting and I wish we would have pressed tonight or ran some half court trap. I hope we press alot this year because we have the depth to do it.
I also thought the refs were pretty terrible and 32 for NSU is a pussy bitch. He would be fricking broke if this was the nba with as much as he flops.

I liked the crowd size for a early game. it was a fairly nice sized crowd and a good showing from the students. I still hate the setup of the student section. I think i remember someone saying the media section has to be where it is because of some rule about student sections proximity to the other teams bench but we need to move the band up to the middle level and give the students more lower seating. it looks stupid only having the middle section of the lower part as the visible part of the student section.

Yeah it was kind of annoying. The upper level of the student section didn't seem to get into it and if more of them could be closer it would be a better student atmosphere.

the band should be moved up and then move some of the upper students into that spot where the band is. Hopefully as we get better and more students show up this shite will get addressed because it looks sad.

Would Starting M.Morgsn and Hickey be that big of a drop off instead of Quarterman and Stringer. Seems that Hickey steals bring easy lay ups, instead of relying on if Sringer's hot.Not knocking Stringer, he can bring another boost off the bench. And Morgan gives some size at guard. But is Morgan not qood enough, shooting etc

He's 6'8" 220, not that it's that big of a difference, and he's got some long arse arms. He also might not be finish growing. He definitely could probably gain weight in the next few years given how young he is.

Kenneth Faried is 6'8" 228. He's a beast

If he has the weight and added wingspan so he can play like a 6'10" 6'11" guy, NBA PF isn't that difficult for him, as long as he stays aggressive and gets stronger.

Pretty much my thoughts here.
Curious why JJ isn't pressing more. We have the depth to do it. Maybe on a team that plays as fast as NWST you can't. But regardless, progress is progress. Agree with ugly, stringer needs to take every shot he took. He was just off last night.

I hope it was just because we were in control all night and JJ knew how quick nsu pushes the ball so he didn't want to risk the press. I do think a half court trap would have been nice to see at some point.

odo surprised me with his post moves but his finishes off those moves were bad He gave great second effort though and his put backs were something very nice to see. This team is going to be making some highlight reel plays before the year is over.

I hope malone gets more time as well because he looked really good in limited minutes.

Wasn't able to watch the game tonight but from what I see on the stat sheet and from what I saw in game 1 Quaterman doesn't need to see the court besides just to give Hickey the occasional blow. 1 rebound 0 assists 1 point?

Quarterman appears to be having some struggles adjusting to the level of competition to this point.

There was alot of chatter about how good he was looking in pre-season practices and scrimmages, some of it from Quarterman himself in some pre-season articles.

Hopefully he can settle down and show us some of that later on, but Hickey is a proven SEC commodity so that gives him the luxury of time.
