Much less fouls on LSU tonight. UMASS had a game prior to us, we were in our first game. That one fame advantage made the difference, in my opinion.

We shot pretty poorly but dominated the boards and really picked it up in the 2nd half.

Very pleased with defense. Very few fouls too.

Transition defense was pretty poor tonight. Of course, Northwestern St. did a really good job pushing the ball.

O'Bryant & Mickey were too much in the post for the Demons. Stringer's aggressiveness was good, but he missed some makeable shots tonight.

Nice win by the Tigers. Progress is progress. This team will do some damage in the sec west.

Hawthorne painted the picture perfectly for me. Almost a redneck version of Marv Albert.

used to love a good night at Superior listening to Brady speak so eloquently about contests on the hardwood during his coach's show

Wasn't able to watch the game tonight but from what I see on the stat sheet and from what I saw in game 1 Quaterman doesn't need to see the court besides just to give Hickey the occasional blow. 1 rebound 0 assists 1 point?

I have to see him towards the end of the season to judge whether it would be a mistake. He could pick up a lot of experience this year.

He's our most crucial player on defense. However, he's an undersized 4...he would get destroyed in the NBA. He has a DECENT at best mid-range jumper and very little post moves. He isn't a 3 either. He's one of those players that could be legendary in college, but will get eaten alive in the NBA. He'll have a career as a professional basketball player making 6 figures overseas, though.
