This could be a problem.

It'll open for the Bama game next year. Ushering in the expanded Tiger Stadium with a good old fashioned beat-down.

It is a good thing to see that the upper deck is already at the level of the old bowl. After the last game they will be working their asses off to complete it.

That's what I was told as well a buddy of mine, his firm had a part in doing the initial work and told me that they'll pretty much have to work nonstop until the open of next season to get it finished

It must be a skeleton crew working the night shift and I haven't seen any large spotlights illuminating the area at night.

Spotlights were on Wednesday night.

Bayou Country Superfest will cause construction to slow down as well. I'm guessing they won't be able to work that Friday, Sat, or Sunday. But I assume that's already been calculated into the time table along with weather delays, etc...

they should finish the design/decoration/furnishing in a flash

that takes the most time by far!

Uh, no it doesn't... Foundation/framing takes the longest.

It's gonna look amazing. It's just a shame almost all of it won't be for the fans who actually work.

What does that even mean?

I think he means most of the fans who will be sitting there work with their brains instead if their hands.

Club seats = white collar and upper decks = blue collar?

As of about 3 weeks ago, they were 42 days behind. They were adding extra crews to try and make up the days. Delays came from hitting something below the surface when driving piles. Can't remember the number, but it was higher than expected due to unforeseen condition.

Though some would argue it'll just be more empty space.

As I was walking out of the PMAC to my car after the basketball game Saturday night around 9:15 PM I noticed a crew was working on the expansion. I counted about a dozen workmen that I could see on the upper part of the construction.

Damn that looks good...I was told they are behind schedule though[/quote]

I'm gonna make you laugh but, a lot of times when a project is behind schedule...it's the schedule.

There is a lot of "float" time for contractors. Your electrical friend/brother may well be late starting due to others slowing them from starting.

But that can be pulled in. Project schedulers are sometimes miss leading due to many things.

Now is the time unforeseen "missing task" start showing up.
Extra Work Orders hit the schedule. (contractors slang for I'm about to drill you for more money).

The schedule starts off with a plan, as the plan is revised sometimes it's the schedule that is revised last. Also I find that schedulers are computer savy and construction dumb.

Don't panic untill about April.
