re: Would Obama have been re-elected if?

The Republicans have been warning about these exact problems minus the website for years. The dim electorate was unwilling to listen to the very elementary and obvious problems with the law that would lead to this. They are too stupid and self absorbed to realize the reach of this disaster of incompetence. They would have voted for him regardless if more warnings had been given.

No. Not even low-info America is that dumb.

Let me give you a bit of an analogy to show you how a program can achieve its mission and still be a failure.

Lets say the FDA's mission is, "To ensure food safety for all Americans "

If the FDA's regulations were so stringent that it caused food prices to rise to the point that people couldn't afford the food they needed. Would the FDA be a success?

Of course not...and that isn't happening with any government agency. The agency also would not be a success if it overthrew the US Government and tried to take over the world....which is as likely a scenario as the one your presenting....

I don't think he would but for the life of me can't understand why Romney didn't have someone read and comprehend the bill and give him some ammo against Obama and Obamacare. I know they campaigned against it but it would have been much more effective if he would have lined up facts about it prior to the election. Then, imho, we'd have a good chance of having a President Romney instead of Obama for four more years. Curious as to what the poliboard's thoughts are on this

Maybe Romney could have gone balls deep in Obamacare but NO ONE LISTENED, not the swing voters. Hell, any critical thinker could see at the very least Benghazi was at least, terribly suspicious and the politics trumped decency. The debate moderator corrected Romney with lies, and he couldn't do much because he risked being too aggressive. It was an uphill battle.

Lining up hypothetical numbers against other hypothetical numbers is not what people were interesting in hearing. It's not about policy, it's about popularity.

Likely the millions and millions who voted against Obama didn't trust him.

Only now, when the true pain is being felt, is when a difference could have been made.

It did. Me, and other conservative posters, as well as drudge report, fox news, breitbart, and several conservative congressmen have all said this is exactly what would happen.

The liberals were too caught up in the "idea" behind free health care, and not interested in the actual details of a 4,000 page bill.

This bill is 100% on the liberals. Every single liberal on here is responsible for your rising health insurance rates, your coverage being dropped, and a failing economy.

I know they campaigned against it but it would have been much more effective if he would have lined up facts about it prior to the election.

Bull shite. The left would not turn on him no matter what. The left's talking points were "Romney has binders of women!", "Romney's dog rides in the back of his truck!!!", and "Ann Romney has a horse". This is the level of stupid you are dealing with from the liberals and the media.

That and the fact that Romney was s RINO didn't help things.

His job approval numbers have plummeted since the rollout. I doubt if even he, with his minions of low information voters, could have survived the obamacare fallout in 2012.
