The one part I never got about "reallocation" is this idea that it happens once a year. I contribute throughout the year and buy whatever needs to be bought to keep my allocation percentages on target.

Doesn't that negate some of the benefit of reallocation though?

I thought a big part of it was the sale of overperforming assets to buy underperforming assets so that when the corrective shift back towards the average occurred, you jump ahead.

You'll still get some of that with controlling what you are buying....but not as much.

re: Nationwide Roth IRA

only got one second interview. do that in 2 weeks.

if they offer, do i accept to secure a job? (90% i will)

or wait until i graduate and then apply to other positions... i've had several people say they'd hire me on the spot if i had degree in hand, so it's tempting, but it'll be nice to coast through that last semester. if i passed the FE last month then that'll also be a significant bargaining chip in waiting and applying elsewhere.

not sure what to do. gonna knock this interview out and go from there.

Yea the FE will be my break point

Gonna have to wait to get results to nail an official job. Have options either way though

i put over 100 hours of studying into it and i wish i hadnt.

-you can't memorize that many different problem types
-the test is only 1/8 of the amount of material i reviewed
-it was about 10x easier than i was expecting
-i finished both sections with plenty of time
-there was no multi-step problems or any calculations where i had to write out more than one simple equation

your knowledge of 4 years of engineering at lsu is enough to pass with minimal review

Just mainly study that formula book and know where everything is. A lot of the answers of the non-math questions were in there if you look up the concepts.
