How many libs voted for Obama again in 2012?

Chomsky sure as hell didn't.

Chomsky is a true liberal.
Doesn't he actually define himself as a "libertarian socialist"?

I've actually wanted to read more of his stuff. Some of what I have read is intruiging, whether or not I agree with it.

I like his takes on the Mass Media. Everybody thinks the media is so "liberal," and yet they are are all run by some of the most conservative, capitalistic groups on the planet, and none of them ever truly challenge the status quo. Everything is framed in a simplistic good/bad, black/white, Republican/Democrat fashion and the bigger questions about the Big Picture go unanswered. Like the way our entire government is fricked up but we will never do anything about it because everything is Obama's fault or W's fault. The alternative is always found from within the broken system and nothing ever changes.

I did on SCOTUS and social issues only. Certianly not because I support the Patriot Act

Had Romney promised to repeal it and roll back other advances in executive power I would have listened to him, but he was too worried about giving tax cuts to people who don't need them.

John Moffitt called the Denver Broncos last week from his Seattle home to say he wouldn’t be returning from a scheduled week off for the team because he’d lost his love for football and was no longer willing to risk his health

quote:

Moffit said. “I’m not happy, and I think it’s really madness to risk your body, risk your well-being and risk your happiness, for money.

I've said it on this board before on got called crazy, but with all of the new studies their doing on player safety and head injuries in football, we are going to start seeing a lot more guys retiring in similar ways. Not in the middle of the season after reading a philosopher, but to save their health and bodies. Eventually it's going to be a good player too and it's going to be a huge story.

Good for him. Not everyone is all about football or wreaking havoc on their bodies.

Jon Stewart pointed this out not too long ago. He showed clips of Fox News, MSNBC, and CNN talking heads asking every guest they interviewed, "Is this a good or bad thing?"

It was brilliant.

What the daughter loses in inheritance I'm sure she'll make up in quality time with pops at meditation sessions and occupy rallies.
