Anyone else notice this trend? If you follow WWL, WAFB, WBRZ or any other local news outlet on Facebook or Twitter and see some of the comments about LSU football, you'll see quite a good bit of people saying "roll tide" and go Bama.

Is it strictly bandwagon, or did a massive amount of people relocate from Alabama to Louisiana?

These are bullshite, white-trash, T-shirt fans in the trailer parks. Not actual lifetime fans or alumni. Don't fool yourself

Bandwagon all the way, baby. I've met these people on the streets & I've met these people during turnarounds/shutdowns in plants. They are the de facto definition of fairweather fans.

it is bandwagon...and is predictable...

I see the same thing here in MS...when bama wins, I see a whole lot more mississippians pulling for bama...

It is suprising how fickle people are, really...

Bandwagoners. Same people were cheering for Florida when Tebow was there and USC and Miami before that. These people are probably all ULL fans.

Sidewalk fans like most Bama fans who didn't attend the school.

It's like that up here in Ohio as well. It seems every redneck in the country that can tie themselves to Alabama, be it that they are from there or lived there for a year, is jumping on the bandwagon to build their self esteem. Let em go for it if it helps.

Exactly right. Mississippi has been riddled with these for a while. The vast majority of them have never even set foot in Tuscaloosa.

Speaking of wafb can anyone tell me why they had Saban's after game press conference on live last night. This was a slap in the face. Why the hell would I care what Saban has to say?

Its a disease. We saw an unusual amount Bama crap in gas stations, bumper stickers etc driving through MS on 59 this weekend. Its unbelievable who emerges from the shadows to hop on a bandwagon

This, it's bandwagon at it's finest. What's sad is that it's self-perpetuating; a lot of the same people that bitch and whine about Miles not being as good as Saban also tear down LSU and build up Bama/Saban every chance they get. So, when recruits (who do like to play on winning teams) continuously hear that, some make the jump to play for Saban instead of stay here (Collins, Robinson). Same used to happen with the USC bandwagon (McKnight).

I have some good friends that live in Mason, if your ever in a bar called Eli's look up the Smith brothers. They usually have on their LSU gear.

Happened in La. after 2003. I went back for a visit in 2005 and could not believe the incredible explosion in LSU fans,or those with LSU paraphernalia.
