I was reading an article on all of the Suns draft picks next season:

quote:

And all of the players mentioned above also happen to play a position of need for the Suns as well. With Eric Bledsoe and Goran Dragic locked up, this team will have tremendous frontcourt options to choose from.

Had front court on my mind

It was reasonable hate. I still would be concerned about how hard y'all have to ride Aldridge and Lillard, but the Stockton/Malone Jazz rode those 2 just as much, so maybe they'll be ok.

Batum, Matthews, Robin Lopez, McCollum coming in soon. They're loaded from top to bottom.

Top to bottom!? Not even close. Their starting 5 is solid but their bench is really bad. Bottom 5 of the league bad.

Mo Williams, CJ McCollum, Thomas Robinson, Dorrel Wright; yeah that bench is awful isn't it?

Robinson is garbage. McCollum hasn't proven anything. If you look at the last 2 #10 picks in fredette and rivers you can't expect much out of him in yr 1. Williams is an average backup. Wright is an average backup.

The bench is better than last year but still really bad.

Post 5 teams w worst benches please.

If you go past out 5 best players(AD,Jrue,EG,Reke,Ryno) our bench is Aminu, Roberts, Smith and Rivers. Thats not too good. Most teams have really poor benches.

Robinson isn't as good as expected but hes a solid contributor. McCollum is much more ready than Fredette or Rivers. He'll be at the least a nice shooter off the bench.

Tyreke/Ryno come off the bench so that makes our bench automatically better.

Smiht has been very solid

Rivers has his moments

Den/PHX will not either

Talent always tells in the nba. I think Portland finishes between 4-6 and I think Denver will end up fighting it out with Dallas and Minnesota. Golden state will make a little run when they get iggy back. I don't think the Pels can emerge with our playoff hopes reasonably intact by the time Davis comes back. The stretch just from now until Jan 1, earliest possible return for him, is brutal. We finish about 4 or 5 games back from the 8th seed IMO

Honestly our team is much more talented than people realize and has just struggled as a new team together and with injuries.

Anderson and Davis have been phenomenal all season and have just had a few small injuries slow them down.

Holliday and Evans have been playing big time ball lately and mostly struggled early with the new move to NO.

Gordon has been shooting a lower percentage, but has also improved lately. Everyone also knows he is capable of being a big time player.

Only real surprise to me is Phoenix, can the Suns really continue winning? I don't think so. Everyone else is about where I figured at this point.

Unfortunately though, my takeaway from the progression is a harsh reality. Pelicans don't have what it takes yet. We just don't.

I'm just afraid to become the Jazz.. You know, almost good enough, but not enough resources to reach the top.

Average seasons ruin franchises, especially when we're invested in trades and have no upcoming picks.
