FYI, ballcaster is not a debater. He can't look at an issue and produce arguments for or against something. Ergo, he results to name calling and says ignorant shite like, "you can't do anything about it anyway, why bother?"

It's what happens when one is:

1) Defeated
2) Angry
3) Jealous
4) Alone

My guess, is that ballcaster has some serious anger issues in his personal life. Threads that provoke thought and debate are painful to him. He disagrees with it and since he has no argument, his simple mind tells him to divert, redirect, and name call. Just watch. he'll have some insult directed at me in regards to this. Just ignore her. Treat her like a troll.

He's just like Womski and his ignorant dumbshit self. When you crush his arguments, he simply says, "we won, you lost, deal with it". Lack of intellectual fortitude in both of those posters.

Right, that's why I said:

I feel engaging in a consensual sexual act is contract between two people who are aware of the possible outcomes.

I thought this thread was to question the legal stances of this subject as they exist today.

Some insight to ballcaster's philosophy.

Yes, but being pregnant isn't like gaining an appendage. I shared my body with another person while pregnant. What I ate, drank and did affected someone else, not just me.

Don't take that stuff too seriously--It's me poking fun at my city becoming the USSR starting in January. I detest leftist politics.

Seriously, what is wrong with you?

This is a political message board. It is for discussing, debating, and venting your opinions on current events in the political field. Yet because you disagree with others opinions you name call and try to antagonize other posters instead of debating/discussing the issue. WHen questioned why you won't debate, you simply (and i mean SIMPLy) say "what are you going to do about it"?

The purpose of message boards isn't, necessarily, to invoke riots and taking to the streets. It's to converse and discuss your ideals and issues. If you are so militant against that, as you appear to be, then you shouldn't be on a message board.

Not 1 liberal here acts as truly disgusting as you are being in this thread. We have differences in political ideology, but we listen and debate each other. You think by insulting and dismissing, you win arguments while sitting smug behind your keyboard. You are the loser, madam. Even Rex has more dignity than you.

Father's Rights are an underground movement, but they have a very good point.

quote:

Please read above. In truth, there is no rational way to make this particular issue equitable. Right now the woman is the one who gets pregnant, therefore she maintains the power. If the man is the one who decides, then he holds the power. There is nothing equitable about either.

Well first, you're making this about the man and woman, when it should be about the child. Second, the difficulty is almost all because of the idea of Abortion in the first place, it places uneven responsibilities all around.

Take abortion off the table, and If a couple gets pregnant:

If they want to get married and keep it - Easy
If they both want to keep it and not be married - Child Support and Shared Custody
If the man wants to keep it - He gets the kid, woman doesn't have to pay anything
If the woman wants to keep it - She gets the child and he doesn't have to pay anything.
If neither want to keep it - Adoption

Easy. Put abortion back on the table and it messes it all up. It becomes about the woman and this ridiculous notion of "her body." It takes two to tango, there are not one, not two, but three bodies involved. It obviously, just like quoted, it becomes about who had the power.

Honestly, even with abortion it should be the same thing. Obviously, with more financial terms in place, specifically if a man wants to keep a child and a woman doesn't. She engaged in sex too, it's her responsibility to know her partner's stance beforehand too, she should know that he may or may not want to keep a kid.

Equality is the ONLY way to promote better sexual responsibility.

This thread has nothing to do with political ideology. This thread is a joke. The person who started the thread is not serious about the subject matter he brought up.

That's the only thing that's pregnant. Her body is pregnant, so she gets to decide what to do with it. There's just no debate to be had here.

It's HER body & until men can reproduce themselves.............................

As far as adoption I doubt if a woman can legally have a child adopted unless the Father signs or waves his parental rights?(Unless she is deceptive about the donor identity & the Father is unaware).

I know it must be frustrating to some(especially on the right) that we cannot control the bodies of women, but ............,'

Yes it does. And if you don't like it, simply leave the thread.

Because you disagree with his opinions does not mean he doesn't feel strongly about his own.

Being dismissive and smug is a horrible trait. Your lack of hearing others beliefs is complete ignorance. because you believe differently from others, then you immediately attack and ignore. No one is asking you to believe what they believe, but dismissing their opinions simply becuase you disagree with them is weak.

I have to agree in an oblique way. Men are always the responsible party. Always have been, and unless the whole gender confusion policy of current society takes hold, they always will be. (and hopefully that current policy won't take hold because then confusion will be the coin of the realm.)

Don't stoop to squabbling about sexual equality. Men aren't well equipped to match a feminine verbal assault. As ballcaster said earlier, "Nobody cares" about your personal feelings. When that baby drops between the legs of a helpless woman, people look for answers. AND the people who they look to for answers are MEN.

It is our lot in life as men. You carry the load.

He doesn't feel strongly about them. All he will ever do about this is discuss them on a message board. He'll never do anything about it. Nothing to do with whether or not I agree with him or not.

Also, nobody in this thread who agrees with this guy will ever actually do anything about this. Ever. Never ever ever.

So what does that say about the men who are complaining about this savage injustice in this thread? It's a bunch of men bitching about something that wads their panties but that they'll never do anything about. What's that make the "men" in this thread? I've said it already in this thread, so I won't repeat myself.

When the zygote, child, whatever you want to call it possesses 100% of the mother's DNA, then it is her body. When my DNA is in the mix, I should have a say in what happens as well.

Talking like this is heresy in this country these days, but I'll admit that the way I feel is...maybe not in the same ballpark as you, but at least in the left field parking lot.
