He will be taking the sanctioned kind.... for the rest of his career. Not with the Texans but who ever gets him after mandatory rehab. Whole new program coming Sam's way.

Why would he be sugjected to mandatory rehab? He didnt fail an NFL drug test.

You're right. BUT, who's gonna sign him without substance abuse assessment, rehab, and periodic tests? I don't think anyone will risk $$$ without these.

Periodic testing maybe. But no way an NFL contract will be able to mandate rehab if he has never failed a test. They "might" not even be able to test him more regularly but Im not certain of that.

His best bet is to get in the best shape of his life, and go full beast mode at workouts to teams will trust that he's for real.

Texan's coach is reaching for straws. Pathetic season. Looking to blame someone, anyone.

Yea, kicking off a non contributor is really taking away the spotlight. Where do you come up with this stuff?

Either way they are guilty of smoking up a non smoking room. Worthy of termination IMO.

Your opinion is terrible

Not nearly as stupid as tossing away millions by smoking weed. Now that right there is stupid.

Yes, When people get in trouble with an employer's substance abuse policy, they often run out and get their own test to show they are not violating the policy. Employers almost always ignore them. The PA and the Owners agree to certain testing procedures. Anything else is only good for publicity. I don't think they wasted the time to test Sam and the others. I'm guessing they weren't smoking Arturo Fuentes. Probably some swisher sweets with the hole. Again, visual was a test. They failed, why complicate matters with a urine test?

So what exactly is preventing coaches from "seeing" other unwanted players smoking weed?

Here comes the NFLPA with a grievance; sounds like a case against ESPN also.....Sam, step it up, get in shape, and keep your mouth shut.

Great. So its not drugs that are making him fail in the NFL but lack of talent. What happened to this dude.
