So first off let me say I don't think Miles should be fired. I do think he reached his pinnacle however in 2011. That being said you basing this of a players comment? Remember this; it was the players who wanted Mike Archer remember how that turned out.

Are Miles's and Archer's records anywhere near comparable? You people are so stupid sometimes.

Odell Beckham needs to get smart and come back for his senior yr ... he's extremely talented and gifted but he's NOT yet ready for NFL-style pounding.

Yeah, and then Hallman came in and defecated all over the program.

Props to obj for not only standing up for his coach but taking responsibility at the same time

The point was players are not the best ones to go to win it comes to deciding on a coach.

the 4 million bucks a year that Miles is paid makes it his fault. He is the head coach and takes the credit right along with the criticism. That is the reality of the situation. Miles took the blame because that is what a head coach is supposed to do. I don't care for Miles but I respect him for falling on the sword so to speak.
I am not impressed....not giving extra points.
I am glad he took the blame, but then,
that's what he is supposed to do.,,,part of the $4MM

Can we possibly move on now from the ridiculous "fire people" nonsense?
One would think so. Unfortunately our fan base is filled with spoiled ignorant douchebags who expect to have 11 wins a season and if that doesn't happen they want Les' head on a platter.
I know, I know, 20 seconds blah, blah, blah. GFYourselves.

How about you address Les Miles's record here, and then you may realize how stupid your comment was.

Not really.

Let's start out with your whole mulligan bullshite. Les outcoached Saban in 2011, and really he did it again in 2012. In 2011 Saban was the one that got a mulligan. One busted play ruined last year, but that's not really on Miles unless you have some agenda you're pushing.
How about all the talent we put in the NFL. What the hell does that have to do with anything? Bama has awesome college players, and that all that really matters in college games. They are every bit as talented as us, and maybe even more. It's such nonsense to act like we have the best talent out of the entire country when you can't find one ranking to back that claim up.
Should I go on?

No. We have about two or three dozen posters here who will not be happy unless Miles' career at LSU ends like Jim Pittman's did at TCU.

Not anymore stupid than than you bringing up his record. What does that have to do with a) being outcoached high school coach, b) The fact that if, and this is purely hypothetical, someone would base the decision of firing him on the players word. Once again I don't think he should be fired just pointing out the logic is flawed in what the OP is stating.

Les is a players coach..
Except for the ole miss game in 2009 when he threw JJ under the bus or leaving JL to rot in 2011
The majority love him, but I know a fair few who despised him between 2007-2011

There is a very small part of me that hopes our next coach is a giant failure just so you idiots wanting Miles gone maybe will wake up.

What?
All I did as the OP was post what Odell said. I didn't imply or say the coaches should be kept because the players want that.

Les's best job of outcoaching Saban was in 2010. 2011 was kind of a wash; Saban actually outcoached himself to a large degree. Of course 1/9/12 was Saban's best coaching job, possibly ever. Les outcoached Saban on the whole in 2012 but had nothing to show for it because of two terrible decisions - the fake kick, and the failure to go for the win at the end. If he hadn't made those two incredibly bad decisions, the 2012 Bama game would've been Les's coaching masterpiece.

I have no issue with this.

Nah...rooting for LSU to fail just to have a point validated is more their style. Don't bring yourself down.

Everyone I really feels wants Les miles to succeed so so badly. He's goofy and awesome at the same time. I want him to succeed more than you know. Then shite like this happens and I don't know what to think anymore
