On the New England winning drive, a Saints DB threw a Pats receiver out of bounds after a catch instead of tackling him in bounds.
Wouldn't that have run off some significant seconds?

receiver was throwing himself out of bounds bro. I thought it was a close call as his forward momentum was stopped for a sec.

We should have just got a first down on our last drive. The best way to beat the Pats is to force their defense to make a play. They made 3.

yes this happened. Yes Lewis screwed up. 20 seconds were lost per Dungy.

I still cant believe Wade Wilson choked that bad going in to Pittsburgh 5-0. Dude folded like a lawn chair.

I think he was getting out of bounds regardless of the defenders tackling technique.

Defensive mistakes this game? You're splitting hairs. Look at the offense for this loss, that's splitting logs. Play calling was bad all game. QB play was sub-par, that missed pass in the end-zone was unacceptable. Stills played extremely well, so did Toon. I think this is the last year we see Colston in black and gold, he just can't create separation and he's losing the 1-on-1s. Offensive line really came to play, they ran the ball - even Mark Ingram could find the holes they were making.

It could be worse, we know what this offense can do. Lets just hope they really grind out the problems before the 6-game gauntlet. Buffalo is a physical team, and so are the Jets; it will have a cumulative affect the following games: Dallas, San Fran, Atlanta, and Seattle. At least we're sitting pretty in our division.

My younger bro is an NCAA Ref...the biggest controversy he was in 2-3 years ago was when a player was tackled OB with about 10 seconds left, as the O was down to their opponents 15 yard line, trying to set-up a game-winning field goal, with no timeouts. The kid was hit, went OB and most thought, including me, that "ok, now they will have a 32-yard kick for the win"...BUT, my bro signaled for the clock to keep running, time ran out, the OC for the losing team, players, etc assaulted my bro...it was crazy! As it was quickly realized by the losing team though, the receiver had been hit, progessed stopped, then pushed back ob...the clock keeps running, because forward progess stopped, whistles were being blown and the play was ended, technically before getting ob.

I know "nice story bro"

Mistakes like that aren't made by teams that have been there. Keenan forfeited more than 5 seconds doing that. I knew it at the moment it happened. I was like, "What?" That 5+ seconds proved to be a difference.

If you're talking about that game against Pitt when the Saints were undefeated in the early 90's, well I watched it in a Pittsburgh bar in Countryside, Va.

The rudest most arse hole fans I've ever seen in my life.

Also, Iron City and Iron City lite suck mule balls.
