It was on a 7' fence. My dog tried her damndest buy just couldn't reach it.

I killed one with a baseball bat once. We had one in the backyard and my German Shepherds were going ballistic trying to get to it. The possum didn't actually play possum and was hissing and trying to bite the dogs. Because I was in the city limits, I couldn't just shoot the damn thing so I grabbed an aluminum baseball bat and smoked it. When I hit the possum, it opened up like a can of sardines and a bunch of fetal baby possums (not sure on the plural of possum) poured out. It was one of the grossest and foulest smelling things I have ever been around.

my kids golden killed many a possum and armadillo out at the farm with its teeth. What kind of dog are you sporting, a poodle?

Some of the comments on here have me in tears. You guys are too much.
If you have a bolt action or lever action 22, buy some 22 short or just some subsonic 22. They are extremely quiet and just sound like a pellet gun. Problem solved.
