LSU will have to go back to that passing attack against Alabama. That style they played against Fla will not work. Saban has always made his defenses strong against the run. The last two games is all Miles needs to refer to. Mettenberger had his finest game last season passing on them and I do not see why it shouldn't continue.

I don't think Miles intentionally gave Saban something extra to think about, but I'm sure Saban will see how they ran on UF and it will give him extra concern.

I doubted that LSU would run on UF like that. Their defense is supposed to be as good or better than Bama's. Our O-line opened big holes and in the 4th we were gashing them - always a great sign. Hell, even Copeland averaged four yards per carry.

I think we'll try to be balanced against Bama so they don't know what is coming. I also think Bama's secondary isn't on UF's level. So I see us going down field quite a bit more and passing more than we did against UF. Either way, winning how we did against UF was very good news. I figured it would be lower scoring game and not a big blowout like a number of people were predicting, but I didn't see us running on them like that. I guess UGA was the exception - though we weren't terrible running in that one either.

Cam really gives us an edge in game planning BAMA compared to previous years. They will have so much more to prepare for. 10 points.....my arse.

Guess whose defense is better than Alabama's against the run.

Both teams know each other. There are no game plans thats both teams will not be ready for. Its heavyweight SEC football. I do think we will try to exploit their secondary, or lack there of.

I don't think Les' motives revolve around Bama (too much),

Don't kid yourself. Lately, If you want to win a NC it comes down to the Bama/LSU game as the most significant matchup of the season for both teams and most of the NCAA. Our team is built around being able to beat Bama...

Who?? Alabama as I said has always been stout against the run because of Nick Saban. That's his game, he had LSU playin the same way. So you can take this half hearted if you want by sayin the Fla D is better, but that's a bunch of crap. This game is in Alabama and LSU's OLine has played like shite in away games. The passing attack is the way to go if Miles let's Cameron do his thing.

Yep. Last two seasons it's been the winner of Bama-Lsu deciding the NC. And I see no different this season. It's just pathetic though that Alabama plays such a soft arse schedule every season while LSU gets handed the most difficult schedule every season by playin the best SEC East teams. Ridiculous! And LSU always goes almost unbeaten against them. I think Fla, Georgia or SC could upset Bama if they played them.

Whatever. This LSU team is a good team. The game is in a month. It doesn't need to be hyped. It is LSU-Alabama, the biggest game in college football over the past 5-6 years.

Not to throw a wrench in the gears, but if this game is a month away, why is it even being discussed as the "game of the year?" A lot can happen between now and then (and probably will).

Les is willing to play different styles of football (passing attack, physical running game); this is an indication that he thinks he has a team that can win a championship.

Any team worth a shite does this, it's called balanced offense. After 2007 we quit doing it.

As I said LSU is playin in Alabama. If you think they will run on them like they ran on Fla at home then you're on some shite. Some of you people don't understand to well. Yes, Fla is number one in D in the SEC right now, but that has nothing to do with what y'all apparently think will happen in November. LSU's Oline has been jekyll/hydish this season.

Danielson consistently says what he thinks. Two years ago he was vilified by the callers on fbaum for going against Bama. Danielson gonna Danielson.

I think Danielson sees LSU as a legit contender and he'd be a moron not to.

Danielson recognizes the talent Miles has every season. He's no dummy. He knows LSU can beat Alabama if they wouldn't shoot themselves in the foot.
