LSU scores instead of fumbling, or gets ball back with more time at the end, it's a blowout over a Top 5 D.
Be glad for the W and maturing of the D.

I know we dominated, I said that, also wasn't worried one bit, yes we beat them but we really could of laid em out! And made it know to the nation that we are better on D now with these new guys AND played the same way we have been on O...... Not complaining! More or less saying we could of done better and called a more tactical game. I mean we could of & moved up a few spots! Hold FL to 200 yards, while putting up 450 to 500 on them and 40 points sends a message! At the same time I don't see anyone but A&M giving us a game from here on! And if we improve that awefull tackling we will beat them too!

The point is to WIN....not to put up video game numbers.

In this game is was supremely obvious that we could run the ball on them and that they could not move the ball consistently on us.

Soooo...

Given that you are playing a team that has a defensive strength in the secondary and one of your prime receivers is not at 100 percent, why would you throw the ball a ton?

Best case scenarion is you score a bunch on the sure. But the other two possibility are really sucky...you leave a bunch of time on the clock or worse risk INT that might allow them to score on defense.

IN THIS GAME...as long as we were ahead by two scores, could run the ball, and did not let them score on defense...they were done.

Our coaches, being the smart folks that they are, realized this and got the win by pounding the ball and eating clock.

I am very much glad we beat that D but I kinda knew we would do this really! I did! It was the perfect storm for us, it was raining for the Aub game and ms state had 2 weeks to prepare, so I figured they would play like that! Plus the personell changes, I just knew. Not saying it wasn't a great game or plan, it was and we did send a message of we can still hit the best D in the nation right in the mouth and win so I'm not disappointed at all!! Just saying played could of been called in a slightly diff way to smash them. I know les doesn't really play like this so.... No big deal! And

But they weren't that good in the secondary?!! They have looked good because they haven't played an offense with this much star power, look I'm extremely happy we won, just think we could of done it better? Nothing wrong with that right? Geez, didn't say we looked terrible! Not close! We slapped em in the mouth, just think we could if done both! While running the ball down their throat! They never stopped us all game! We stopped our selves, just saying we didn't have to stop our selves like that. What was the spread in this game btw?

Fans are just dumb about football plays. Practically all of them are designed to score, if executed proper.
The belly toss everybody complained about last year has scored at least 3 TDs this year

This is a fallacy. Miles teams own the LSU top 10 margin of victory ranks.

When you play a defense like Fla. and you control the clock by running it always make for less points unless you have 5 to 10 60 yd gains. 15 play drives runs the clock down.

What about Bama? You feel that confident?

ETA: Their DBs are legit.

Yes I know that! But you can do that and pass and run in many diff ways from these same formations! On the contrary I know a lot about football! And certain plays work against certain teams and some don't! And if you do it too much and the D is waiting for it, it hardly ever works! Look the one time we went to the flat with hill, 15 yards easily! Could of came right back and ran a draw right there and it would of worked, then come back a run head up again, next play run a bootleg pass to the TE. Come back fake on first down or run again, just saying attack their d better that's all. You can do this and control the clock. By the way I don't think the clock was in our favor! And I also know Mett dropped the ball and we would of scored but that don't mean you quit attacking!

Yep!! I don't see anything about bama that worries me! You watching that game right now? If Kentucky has an offense they would be winning right now. And if I'm Les in company the week of the game I would be preaching strip the ball because they can't hold on to it at all!

Like I said it was a great game and we did exactly what we wanted, I just think we could of done that and more! But call me what you want and what not, doesn't bother me. I expect it here by now. Anytime we win and someone says it could of been better played someone says, your just negative and know nothing about football, ok.... Well that's fine! Bama's line isn't nearly as good as it has been neither one of them. And FL secondary was supposed to be real good too so was their Dline & we slapped them around. I liked both game plans for LSU just think we could of done more attacking in those tight formations. That's all!
