With as much passion the state has for baseball and any sport really, you would think they would have one.

If the saints could survive being terrible for so long, then I know a baseball team could make it.

Wish yall had one. I would be a fan.

NOLA has a pretty good amount of MLB fans. The problem is most of them wouldn't switch their allegiances just because NOLA had a team.

MLB would be much more popular if they only played 20-30 games a year, and their season didn't overlap with football season. When they play these 100 game schedules it causes inflation of baseball games, and each one becomes less valuable. I have found it hard to keep up with because they play on so many different nights, and there are so many games. If they only played games on Sunday with maybe a Thursday or Monday night game, and it was a 20-30 game schedule, then I would probably become a fan.

NOLA isn't big enough to support that many pro sports teams.

Plus the MLB doesn't need to expand. It's good right now. frick expansion.

Everything that you just said would ruin baseball.

This would be extremely interesting if this happened. But baseball is a game of patience, for the players and the fans. Hint- Americas past time.

But I get saying most Louisianaians would not switch their favorite MLB teams.

Very much a false statement. You have to put a winner on the court to get support. Watch and see this season. Benson is hell bent on making this team a winner. Build it and they will come!

This goes for any professional team, if they are not winning, they are not coming. Plain and simple. Rewind pre Payton. Saints were about to relocate. Now, over 30,000 on the waiting list.

No way we can support an expansion team, or a team shitty enough to relocate.

Absolutely terrible argument

think about it. MLB really only becomes entertaining in the postseason, because then each game become more valuable to the fans and players, because there are fewer.

Plenty of losing pro teams get great attendance.

So I guess pretty much every sport other than football is too hard for you to follow due to the amount of games?

Me too..It doesn't even have to be "new orleans", per se. It could be just "Louisiana", and you'd have many fans from BR, Nola, and Mississippi come to games. People love baseball down here, maybe not as much as football, but it's still a hot commodity come spring time.
