she looks a heck of a lot better in the past two episodes than she did in the 1st half of this season?
You mean the last two episodes where she is in AA and getting off the pills. Yeah I think that was kind of the point of her looking like shite the first half. She was strung out.

And speaking of the mirakuru, I'm starting to think that it is giving too much power to those who have it. Not only does it give the people super strength, but it apparently healed and kept Slade alive while he was at the bottom of the bay (at least I think that is what he said), and it gives them super senses. They are treading on thin ice in the semi-realistic world they have created.
Well Slade already said it didn't repair his eye. I doubt it could repair a dismembered limb either.

did I hear Thea right when she accused Oliver of holding the secret for years before she revealed that the secret was Malcolm being her dad(which made me think even more that Slade had told her he was Arrow)? Oliver has only known for probably no longer than a month or two in their time.
but she doesnt know how long Oliver has actually known. it seems she assumed hes known the whole time, like his mother. I dont think Slade told her about him being Arrow.

umm... they just introduced The Flash a few episodes ago and you think a super soldier-esque formula is too much?

Like Thea ultimately cares what the timeline is. That girl gets PISSED when people lie to her. (which is hilarious considering she was basically a lying junkie at one point)

I doubt so too, but being able to keep him alive while he was in the bay for however long he supposedly was out there is pretty powerful (not to mention that Slade survived an arrow through said eye, and thus his brain). Throw in the super strength, super senses, super speed (Roy was keeping up with his car), and you have a pretty powerful dude. Looks like they may have to cut off his head to kill him.

I don't either. I just meant when she said that line I thought she was going to say that she was told he was the Arrow, and the fact that the secret was really about Malcolm kind of came out of nowhere.

Oh, don't get me wrong. I think they will be skating on thin ice with the Flash too. And I'm not saying that it will ruin the show(s), just that they had better be careful with it all.

And plus she already knew that Oliver had been pissed at Moira for some time, so she should be able to put 2 and 2 together and figure out that the reason he was mad at her was because of the Malcolm secret.

man frick their realistic world.
I still want this and Flash to be part of the DC movie universe with Ollie getting punked by Batman for being a dunderhead that would be dead if he didn't have a massive team to back him up

i dont think its "nolan realistic." i think they are blending it together like a real story would do. Green Arrow exists in a larger universe with superheroes, but his book is mainly in the streets.
what if they are setting up his world and slowly integrating more superhero type lore? as long as its not all at once and done smoothly, i think it could be a cool transition.

Exactly what Smallville did to an extent. Clark's enemy of the week was due to the meteor rock for the first 2-3 years. Then, they started bringing in other villains.
I really enjoyed the episode last night and am liking where they are going. Also, I like that this thread is giving comic guys a forum to drop names and back stories. I know its different than the walking dead stuff, but I don't like the bickering that goes on for nothing.

We don't know that. He shot deadeye in the eye and he survived.

i just started reading TWD comic. idk why people make such a big deal. the comic is like 85% different. talking about it wouldnt spoil anything. and the show sucks anyway.
arrow is so fun because, yeah its loosely based on a comic, but they can take the characters anywhere.

Arrow takes certain elements from various storylines but as far as the overall tv show story arcs go, comic readers are almost as in the dark as non-readers.
That is far from the case with TWD.

maybe. i guess i cant exactly say. im only 30 issues in. but things have been very different than seasons 2 and 3 of the show.

There are a lot of differences but there are also a lot of key moments that can be spoiled. I don't even want to list anything off because you're only 30 issues in and with the comic being way better than the show, I don't want to ummm... reverse spoil you?
There haven't really been moments like that in Arrow.

yeah i think thats what makes Arrow so great. The comic is just a back drop. They created their own separate world and can go in any direction they want. They arent tied to one story.

Well holy shite, I just stumbled upon a set pic with a pretty huge spoiler about a certain character that we've theorized about a good bit here.

That is a big spoiler.
But that goes to prove that we can't assume that the characters in the comics will be like the characters in the show.

Yeah she's dressed as Ravager (Rose Wilson) but Isabel Rochev is a completely different character in the comics so I have no idea why or how they're combining the two characters.
End Spoiler

Slade looks awesome in his gear, but I'm not buying her in her gear.

so is she Slades daughter as well then? i have to believe so since the actor said we have seen his kid before already.
