And it seems like it takes a while for your torch count to get updated. We were at 63/100 before the Russians invaded, and it still says 63/100. Will probably drop down into the 40s/100 here soon.

Yea no point in me releasing heros. The torch carriers are all level 120+, my highest is level 82.

This is exactly it. find a guild that you can run one through on, then load it up with the rest of your heroes. It's what I did earlier and not one of mine were challenged.

Well, we're still on 63/100 so I don't know how the frick it works, but at least we're down to rank 73 and the attacks have stopped. I think if we hang out here, take a few stabs throughout the day, and then at around 8:45 make a big push, we might end up doing pretty good and get a nice little chunk of shards and HB.

My guild went from 160 to 0 torches in less than 10 minutes.

Something I have been thinking about and it something I think casty was talking about, those of us that can get our 7150 in the three minutes should wait for a while before jumping in to let the younger members get more HB. If I'm not mistaken as long as you start before the challenge is over you get your full three minutes. If we waited for a 3-5 minutes before jumping in the lower crowd can get more HB. It also eliminates the risk of someone going over and taking a ton on the front end and hurting others. Thoughts?

We are taking it all on the front end thus limiting the remaining available for he lower members. If we wait and get ours on the back end they can take a bigger chunk. If I am not mistaken the boss can have 100 HP left but if you jump in you still get your full 3 minutes and 7150. That's why if you add up our damage it is usually more than his HP, and it eliminates someone from accidentally doing more than the 24m and taking away from everyone else.

I will test it out tonight just to be sure.

I brought that up as a suggestion, but the problem is everybody has to be on board and willing to wait. Also, a lot of times I watch the boss's meter at the challenge screen, and then when I start the fight a huge chunk is missing. It's also risky for those who can run a full 3 minutes, but maybe not consistently. Sometimes it takes me and Broke a few tries to get a good round going, and by then the boss might be under 30%.

And considering you get 850 HB just for joining, and another 210 for doing any damage at all, that makes the lowest possible 1060. After our 3 minute fight, we usually have several guys that have done like 300k damage. In order to get more HB, they have to get up over 1M damage, and then it's only another 210 HB. To get another 210 after that, they need to do over 2M damage. It will take some of these guys 20 minutes just to get near 1500 HB, and it's a lot of risk for everybody else to wait for that.

It might be better to just keep doing what we're doing, and hope these guys get a few more legendaries soon.

No, you can only do as much damage as the health he has left when you start fighting him. So all the 3 minute guys would have to jump in when the boss still has over 30% health left, and hope poli doesn't jump in 15 seconds early and finish him off before the rest of us can even get started.

It's true that the boss doesn't actually lose the health until a round ends, so yeah multiple people can all start when the boss has 24M left and all do that much damage. But then if one of us has a bad round and ends after only 30 seconds and a few million damage, but that's enough time for poli to do 24M and kill him, the guy that had the bad round is screwed.

Sorry guys. I was already part of another guild when I stumbled across this thread. I had another account in TD guild for a while but don't have time for multiple accounts anymore.

If I make a change, I'll definitely join TD with my main account.

Why aren't people stealing our torches now? Should I be doing anything? I also think we should start about 8pm working on torches. That way if something goes wrong we can recover

and the torch battle thing is crazy. A bunch of us hauled torches until we were full, the ranking reset and we were number 1..... for about a minute. ranked 263 now


I guess a lot of players just attack the first page on the rankings

Because we aren't ranked in the top 10 in our group anymore (we are ranked 69 right now), so we don't show up on the first page of guilds to be attacked for everybody else when they want to haul torches.

I think the top 3000 guilds can participate, and they are split into groups of 300 based on guild rank. Our particular group can earn a max of 100 torches (we have 65 right now, and every guild in our group started with 50), but higher ranked groups of guilds are competing for more torches (wasteland says his group's max is 160, so they probably started with 80).

Anyway, we stole too many torches too early in the round, so we ended up ranked #10 in our group and we were on the first page for the 299 other guilds looking for torches to steal. I like where we are right now. Who is going to go through 7 pages to pick a random guild to steal from? That's like going to page 7 on a google search. Nobody goes that deep.
