Im not judging, just like to know the reasoning if you didn't mind.

I've always belived TOOL song meanings to be whatever it means to you. Although I'd guess, in your description of H. you are talking about the story involving Maynard and some kind of drugs addiction for a loved one?
Its been a while since I have given that some thought...

I need to see live
I seen them twice live, both in 2007. The concert in BR sucked as it was at that River Center downtown which the sound sucks in that place.

The NOLA arena show was perfect. I was in the top section sitting facing the stage with no one in front of me but air and space. Hearing Pushit live was amazing, and practically all of 10,000 Days

I could give you a top ten for today, but that might not be the same list I'd give you tomorrow. When you have so many masterpieces, it all depends on the mood of the moment for what you're digging the most at any given time.

Top 10 TOOL Songs

Impossible question. Thread should be deleted....

But I'll try.

In no particular order (Except the numbered one)

1. Third Eye (Live preferably)
Opiate
Aenima
Parabol/Parabola
Push It
Forty-Six and Two
Jerk Off
Schism
Sober
Eulogy

Honorable Mentions to the Harry Manback saga and Dier Eier Von Satan.

By the way, they are amazing live and go if you ever get the chance. Also I liked 10,000 days I guess it just doesn't make my top 10.

Shocked no one has listed in their top 10 Tool's incredible remake of Led Zeppelin's "No Quarter".

Shocked.

Seriously, their remake of "No Quarter" is one of their most underrated songs.

Even Led Zeppelin has conceded that Tool's performance of No Quarter is by far the best.

Would prob make my list, but I didn't want to put a cover in there.

It is prob one of the best covers ever, behind Cash - Hurt and a few others

Really its what does it mean to you.

The cover of No Quarter is quite possibly the best cover of a song ive eer heard.
Really cannot think of another.

No other reason than I didn't want to make a top 15 list. I had to include useful idiot only b/c I didnt' want to say 1-3, then 5.

I think it's the best opening run of tracks off any album. Really nothing deeper than that.

Absolutely.

Plus, I consider No Quarter to be a quintessential Tool song, and here's my reasoning: Tool picked a classic song that fits perfectly into the Tool mythos, both lyrically and musically.

Although it is a cover, it's sort of the exception to the rule...Tool's "No Quarter" is nothing more than another classic Tool song, a progressive band reinventing a classic progressive song into something new, dark, and mythical.
