I thought I was doing well as I will cross the 6 figure mark @ 27 this year. Then I heard what cardiologist in our area makes. North of 40k per month base salary 
I know of people who make big bucks, and I have the possibility of reaching the 400k mark in my career, but when you break it down into a monthly salary it's insane.

Not enough for what I do, but base is six figures and have potential to make an extra 40 to 50K in bonus based upon revenue and NOI.
Wife is a six figure gal too.
Money is nice, but can't enjoy it or family as much due to pressure and work requirements (6 days a week).

Where do you travel I've done contracts in Bakersfield Ca and San Ramon Ca. My fiancee and I traveled for a year and then just took jobs out here to be more stable until we moved back home in a few years.
