one more bump for Ronnie's Boudin.

Jay, that whole area of town, falling by the way side in property value is now the most diverse area for food in BR. Little Saigon should be on the list as well. It's time for BR to get the word out about the food in this area(other than Anthony's).

I'm not Jay, but I agree. It amazes me how people rarely venture outside their spheres of comfort.

Nino's is great but it was better before the ownership change IMO

the TIME OUT LOUNGE is my favorite bar in BR

I'm all about a good dive/neighborhood bar. Been wanting to check this place out for a while but haven't made it over there yet.

Is Hawk's Nest considered "hidden"?

ETA: Goodwood Grill. Their smothered pork chops are really good.

I had no idea that was there either. I have been searching the area for different places to eat in Baton Rouge and this thread has def provided a load of ideas now.
