I don't think they were hard enough on PSU. This was not cheating or recruiting violations this was turning a blind eye to child rape. I think they should have gotten a 5 yr death penalty.

Stop whining about Reggie Bush. He got caught taking money and USC got the punishment because he couldn't.

Good move. It was horrific but punishing these new coaches and teenagers isn't helping anything.

It reminds other universities to not put football first....or else there will be a time to pay.

You know nobody connected to the team committed a crime.

The NCAA has no jurisdiction in a criminal case that was decided.

The NCAA over reached and had no precedent or by laws

Yeah becaus if the threat of jail time & lawsuits isn't enough to convince people not to cover up crimes, the loss of football scholarships real really hammer it home.

Because multiple life sentences in prison isn't enough?

I miss PSU being relevant, but I also am opposed to child fricking

Well I think everyone is, but the fact is that the NCAA overstepped their boundaries of authority. Those directly involved are facing actual legal troubles. The only group the NCAA penalties harm are fans, and that's not right.

Are you really this dumb? He was banging them in the shower room and in hotel rooms paid for by PSU. Do we really have to go over the facts.

Joe Pa and the AD hid the crimes to protect their friend and the program.

One of them is dead, and the other about to be in prison (if he isn't there already).

No, just responding to what you posted. It's the responsibility of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania to go after them and punish them, not the NCAA

They should get back all of the wins that they were forced to vacate for no reason.

Well actually PSU could have protected itself by firing everyone involved immediately. Most corporations wouldn't continue to allow people in important positions to represent them in a child molestation ring.

I know the facts. Sandusky was not a part of the program in offical capacity. Paterno did what was required by law. The fault is with Spanier.

You can twist your logic into it but the NCAA had no basis for penalties.

The coverup at PSU was deeply embedded in the football and athletic program. Meanwhile, USC sanctions remain in full effect. at the NCAA

Glad the NCAA decided to reverse a portion of the punishments they had no authority to impose.

fricking idiot. Jeremy Hill beat up a woman so should LSU be banned from a bowl this year? Why are you going to push the athletes, students, fans, and their opponents for the actions of a few? It's a criminal case, not a NCAA case. What the frick is taking scholarships away going to do for the kids who were raped? Not a damn thing. Child rape is a horrible thing, but it's not the NCAA's business. They regulate the sports and the business of sports. Criminal cases are none of their damn business.
