I got out this morning for my first teal trip. Very slow. Only 1 group of 5 and a single. Killed 2.

Got a report from our lease in klondike. Seeing a lot more birds. most are high & moving fast but easily 10x more birds than last weekend. Again not much shooting in the area. Still haven't fired a shot on our place. Closest group had about 50 birds & was 100 yards out. Birds are flying but not wanting to come in close & decoy...

Had a few flocks of big birds hanging over the decoys yesterday. Friend's son and his buddies had 6 man limit by 7:30 today.

We did ok, didn't get our limit.
Most of the teal around have been down from the first week.
The teal that did come in worked beautifully.
Tons of big ducks. Saw about 1000 fly over right at day light in two separate groups. One right behind the other. The big ducks are working too.
I'm hunting this week, just because it's so good to be out there.

Report out of NELA said the teal showed up in impressive numbers yesterday and this morning. I know of one group of 8 that had a limit by 7:45 this morning.
