How have you been playing lately?
What are you doing to get better?

Playing Covington today after work again.
Riding the best ball striking run of my life.
I can't putt anymore, and so far I've done nothing to fix it. Only things that have made it worse

got a pretty good tip yesterday about trying to just envision the ball going into the hole instead of trying to worry about the putter making contact with the ball. You already know how to do that, just trust it and focus on the ball going in...or something like that!

Does anyone else immediately know if they are gonna make a putt (or get it real close)?

I can walk up to a putt and within a few seconds I know if it's going in. I'll make a long one and my friends will wonder why I didn't get that excited, and it's because I just knew I was gonna make it. If that makes sense.

with the way I have been putting, I would be happy to get in inside 3ft from 2ft away...

that's the thing. Yesterday I birdied 1,3,4 and had 4 foot birdie putt on 5 and missed it. I had a birdie putt on all but 3 holes yesterday and had three 3-putt bogeys coming in.

Did you stuff these to gimme range? If not, that's a pretty good putting start. Seems like the 3 putts coming in might have been you pressing a little trying to make something happen.

Of course, speed is the most important part of putting, IMO. When I get into a putting slump, I like to go on the putting green and just get the right speed. When you have the right speed, and you make a good stroke, they'll start falling.

1 and 3 were both par 5's and easy up and down chips for birdie. 2 is a par 3 that I knocked a PW to about a foot.
