McCarron sacked 4 times in two games against those defenses. Anyway sorry, back to the point.

TCU defense is better than most in the SEC. Their offense sucks, defense is legit
Hovering around 60th Nat in every D category and about 7 SEC Ds ranked above them.
I'll allow they've played a couple pretty good offenses in 3 games and there's many Ds ranked better that aren't tested yet.

Oregon St. QB has thrown the ball 130 times already! Wow! No running game at all in Corvallis.

They have 2 CB's ranked top 5-10 CB draft picks. And a few others that will get drafted. They have a legit secondary. One of the best in the country. Those stats don't mean shite this early on.

I had no idea he had such an amazing arm.

Really? It is common knowledge that he has one of the strongest arms in CFB.

Right.

The stats don't mean shite this early, BUT if the tigers weren't at or near the top at this point most rantards would be doing a chicken little.

The next four brutal weeks will show us who they are and set up the team for the finish. It could be an amazing finish and I can't wait to see it unfold.

Next up: Auburn. Faux tigers, Plainsmen, War eagle, poor tree hugging soon to be sad-sack losers.

Bring it on!

Which would also qualify for OP subject.

Actually, first half struggle with FCS SELA and allowing 340yds sorta soured me on TCU's D thus far.

while great and hope it continues.... until we play a good defense I will reserve judgement

Everyone says this, but we couldn't throw against shitty defenses last year. 90 yards against Aggy, for instance.

Off subject, but Beckham is 24th in returns and they didn't count his 100 (actually 109) yard field goal return, otherwise he'ed be 2nd. I see Jones from Bama was credited with a 105 yd. punt return - I thought the NCAA only allowewd 100 yards. The return leader had 15 kickoff returns - that's a lot of opponent scoring.

He has the right coaching to go with his talent but the most important part is his maturity after his off the field issues. He's acting beyond his years because he knows he's lucky at this 2nd shot.

Excuse my ignorance, but why are ESPN's ratings different?

Thats QBR. ESPN's own qb rating formula.

I don't think his comment had anything to do with other QBs. Just saying it's nice to see an LSU QB doing well.

This.
In years past, we played shitty teams to start the year and struggled passing the ball and completing passes on 3rd down. So far, in tune up games, we are doing a much better job of that. We are going into the SEC schedule with some evidence that we are capable of moving the ball at will using the pass rather than just hoping we break through the line to move the chains.
