the rally-cry was al-q was getting shite from iraq- whether true or not, that was the spin.

I agree, we don't have friends on either side. If you help either side, you will be helping Islamic terrorists in one form or another. I think that is pretty much set in stone.

That seems like a sane and honest opinion

So knowing that, why would you automatically be bat shite fricking crazy and immediately assert that Obama is helping terrorism.

If he supported Assad you know what everyone here would be saying? I'll give you a clue: it wouldn't be that he is trying to thwart Al Queda.

I think there is a difference in saying "Obama is supporting terrorism" and "Obama's interventions will assist terrorists". I will concede most people cannot see the difference and think they are one in the same, and condemn Obama accordingly, but I tend to be a very literal person.

just because the administration's actions would help terrorists doesn't mean they have a pro-terrorism stance, although that is what some would like to imply.

Obama isn't pro terrorism. Its more that he has some hidden agenda in this deal and it isn't a humanitarian reason either. Simply put, he doesn't care about the side effects or consequences of supporting such groups to accomplish an agenda. We shouldn't be involved. Period

Right. Unintended consequences are a bitch.

But we have people here who are asserting that he's doing it to intentionally support terrorists.

That's the narrative of the insane. And they should have stones thrown at them.

It's a thread about nothing. It's a random paragraph with no commentary. frick this thread and frick you.

ETA: With no link I might add

Worthless thread is worthless. Someone delete this piece of shite thread please

If I posted links to the NYTimes and Wash/HuffyPost you would still scream piss and vinegar. I will go add the link but who cares because you will make-up another reason to get all worked up.

It is in the news over and over that Obama has supported terrorists. Are you calling Egyptians liars when they held the signs up saying OBAMA SUPPORTS TERRORISTS?

I think you are thinking that the office of the Presidency itself is beyond corruption to this level. It is surreal, therefore unbelievable but guess what it is in the news over and over and a pattern of Obama taking terrorists side has been established whether your brain can wrap itself around it or not.

But go ahead call all those that clearly see the pattern nuts.

I suppose my take-away from "arming and support Islamic terrorists" is different than yours. Like I said, I take it very literal. If we are indeed arming rebels, we are, technically, arming and supporting Islamic terrorists. We would be doing the same thing if we were giving weapons to Assad(a fact he leaves out), but this does not diminish the former.

They are...you're an idiot.

You think Obama is a member of the Muslim brotherhood, that he secretly (or openly) is assisting violent, extremist Muslim Terrorists....while at the same time droning the frick out of them across 3 continents...and basically advocating a socially liberal agenda which is anathema to everything Muslim extremists believe. How fricking retarded are you and your compadre Cptotto?

Sure. Who cares what Egyptians say? One of the signs says "Obama backs fascist regime". Was that not true of the Mubarak regime as well? Wanna know what the right said when the US (Obama) supported Mubarak's ouster?

What about FDR and Stalin? Do you people understand the concept of tradeoffs?

BTW, I'm not saying I agree or disagree with any specific action of Obama on this. Just pointing out how crazy it is this notion that he is actively and willfully "supporting terrorism".

I would imagine from the prism that Egyptians view the world, their idea of terrorism is vastly different than your view of terrorism.

I'm sure plenty of people in Iraq viewed Bush as a terrorist.

And I'm sure if I searched long enough I could find some random picture of some idiot or group of idiots somewhere that have a sign that claims he is a terrorist. Would you then immediately believe that Bush is a terrorist just because someone held up a banner saying so? Do you believe he is a war criminal? Certainly there are millions of people who have called him such.

frick, what are you NOT willing to believe just because some random idiot says it?

Yes. And I'm still a pretty conservative guy. I just recognize that this place is completely off the deep end.

Maybe you shouldn't take things so literally when you're smart enough to know exactly what the fricking implications are.

Ahh.

I guess I feel the same way when I'm in certain places in California, except I'm a pretty liberal guy in a place that's off the liberal deep end.

Please answer the following question:

If Obama was taking Assad's side in this fight, what would your reaction be?

You really need to get a grip and a small clue. The rebels are al-qaida. Obama is supporting them while his mouthpieces (chief of staff) are saying they are moderates. In Cairo Obama supported terrorists. He has a pattern that you have somehow missed in your dickhead tirades calling people crazy.

quote:

The rebels are fighters from the al-Qaida-affiliated Jabhat al-Nusra or Nusra Front and the Qalamon Liberation Front

LINK

Yet...the WH Chief of Staff is outraged by Ted Cruz saying just this.

McDonough 'outraged' at Cruz's Al Qaeda remarks - POLITICO.com

Why is the WH Chief of staff lying in his faux outrage?

No. I'm smart enough to not apply the implications.

I'll not deny one fact because it may suggest something stupid.
