St Bernard should have been abandoned after Katrina.. Isaac just reminded them of their dumb decision to return, and another storm will Katrina-them again. Move to a real modern area with CLEAN WATER for crying out loud!

sorry dipshit, st bernard your "argument" is laughable when St Bernard CREATED their own damn problem by allowing the Miss River to be leveed up. As long as the springtime flooding sediment which existed before man fricked it all up 100 years ago isnt corrected, then SELA will continue to rapidly erode. All of the Southshore is doomed to be reclaimed by mother nature as even tens of billions on levees and floodwalls wont stop the inevitable destruction of the area.

I mean for Gods sake, the Isaac surge was 1.5 feet less than Katrina at the same damn spot where the MRGO seawall was built and it was BARELY a hurricane! Imagine had that storm had been a cat 3 or 4...It would have flooded every place Katrina did. If you refuse to ignore the obvious warning signs, then enjoy the hell that is to come!

so i guess no one should have built a city here in the 1700s, with all the knowledge of hurricanes and water that they didn't have back then

He appears to be asking why anyone would move back after Katrina, bc it's probably going to happen again. Legit question IMHO.
