Kleinpeter needs to stay off the sauce. But “sources close to the situation” seem to suggest a major shakeup? Could those sources be someone else that’s drinking the same shite he’s drinking? The same two cornerbacks who from last year’s great defense will be relegated to backup and bench, respectively? Kleinpeter needs to make up more believable nonsense than this? LSU was doing a lot of shuffling in and out of freshmen and backups and I thinks it’s best to leave at that then sell bullshite stories.

mills and collins are sophomores and started last year as a freshman soooo why cant our highly talented freshman start this year?

Micah Eugene is currently the nickel corner but he may move into the starting lineup in place of safety Ronald Martin.

I'm all for this. Martin has looked really tentative out there while Eugene has been flying all over the field making plays.

Collins will probably sit, I don't see Mills losing a starting spot, though.

I support this reasoning 100%

Guess how many plays welter was in on during UABs first TD drive?
Zero.
One big pass rest runs.

I'm not saying welter is great, but some of you idiots lock on to one player and dump all over him... Seems welter is that guy.
I rewatched entire game esp paying attention to lb play.... None of the outside barrow standout..
Most prob the reason they share snaps.
I watched 45, 23 and 25 all run by tackles and get blocked as did 31.
All I'm saying is its not one players fault... If you disagree turn replay on in bout 30 mins watch yourself.
Welter wasn't even in the game on the vast majority of the if runs UAB busted.
This entire unit gotta improve.

Btw , 91 got as much action at DT than anybody.. Kid reminds me of Kyle Williams.

I don't doubt for a minute Tre White could, and likely will, replace Collins. I do have my doubts about Mills being replaced by RR anytime soon. But if he is, it probably has more to do with yapping at the refs all night after he got burned, claiming he was pushed off. He wasn't. He was burned. But he was still bitching about it 10 minutes later.

Collins has never really been all that great...Mills has shown much more flashes than him, however.

I think the staff (Chavis in particular) knows that Welter is the only one CURRENTLY that knows enough to get the defense set. What I'm hoping is that someone with more ability and talent gets it upstairs so we don't need him on the field as the starter.

It was more than that one play, FWIW. Missed 2+ tackles, lost contain several times, took bad angles.

so start 2 freshmen because they looked good in scrub minutes vs UAB?

Guess how much Tyrann Mathieu weighs dipshit?

Tyrann weighted 186 when he left and was above 175 at lsu u idiot... Also tyrann was 5'9 meaning he's stockier, Robinson is 6'2 so he's thin as a rail...sometimes question the common sense of people here 6'2 164 and u think he can hold up against SEC running backs and Wr's. Tyrann was 5'9 176 his freshman year

Like do you use your brain do you not understand how 25+ pounds of weight and muscle makes a difference?

Define scrub minutes. Our "scrubs" were in against their starters. And looked better than our starters in a couple of instances.

whatever the changes in the secondary, Chavis needs to school this defense on how to diagnose and defend a screen pass.

i started a thread right after the game saying how impressive RR and white looked, but i'm not sure they're ready to start.

I wouldn't want any of them on an island with amari cooper or mike evans from aTm

I've come to the conclusion that you don't know what your talking about... Collins didn't start last year Tharold did and
He was a redshirt freshman so his playing weight was 195 Mills came in physically ready to play at 5-11 185

I got no problem with that. But I'm also not OK with Collins in that situation. I expect White to replace Collins. Maybe this is something to light a fire under their arses.

Kleinpeter is far from the only person hinting at this. Ponamsky was saying this BEFORE the game. That White are RR were gonna be getting some serious looks, and that White would probably replace Collins sooner than later.
