Yep. It takes all the starch right out of them. I generally fill a 16 oz coke bottle with gas and just jam it down the hole upside down. [/quote]

Brilliant!

If your a curious fricker like me you will dig up the nest and marvel at what a bunch of motivated little spawns of pure evil can build in the ground.

+1 on diesel.

On a side note if you use gas and use a match PLEASE film... I would NOT recommend this. Gas flashes big time when lit you let all the fumes build up in the hole and then drop a match you better be a good ways away from the hole.

Diesel is your friend when needing matches and wanting to keep hair on the body... speaking from experience.

One of my earliest memories is watching my dad light up a YJ nest. I've been a pyromaniac from that point on.

Don't ever try to set rats on fire, though. They'll run in to the woods and burn down two acres.

They sell foaming sprays cheap at the hardware store. Combine that with going after them at night because they do sleep or are at least dormant at night. Worked for me. Came back next day and dug it up. 3 discs of nests stacked on top of each other in there. Crazy. Hate those bishes.

NO GAS, dangerous and a waste.

Mix up a bucket of very soapy water and pour in hole, problem solved

I would try the MP 40, it is light as a feather but more than twice as deadly. If that doesn't work then maybe the Aug!

many of you may be wondering what useful purpose yellow jackets serve in nature.

We had one in a corner of our front garden - that kept the neighbors cats out of our garden, off our vehicles and off our porch.

As soon as we hit the jackets with b61 and eliminated them, the neighbors cats came back and took over.

My favorite way is to run a weedeater full throttle over the hole. Watching those little frickers getting blasted is well worth it.

This is something I would love to see a video of.

1) Crank the mower near the hole
2) stomp YJ's as they calmly crawl out.
3)????
4) profit

Find both entrances (you may have to do some recon/surveillance) cover them with clear pyrex dishes - wait until early evening hours when they've returned and are quiet.

Let the sun cook them for 5 to 7 days.

After the 2nd or 3rd day - it is awfully entertaining to watch the crew that was stinging/trying to sting you early in the week display some serious regret about that. "We're sorry for interrupting your mowing and stinging you. Please let us out!"
