FWIW, I do wish they focused more on the actual league, but that's just because I think there's so much humor that comes from that. But them losing focus on it isn't why I say it's been down the last season or two...it just seems like it hasn't been as consistently funny lately. But there has definitely been some good parts (the paintball scene comes to mind) though.

I'm with you on the first half of season 4, but man I thought season 3 was great. The only episode i did not enjoy from the first 3 seasons was the ghost monkey.

I'm about a 1/4 through season 4. I wish they'd bring in the other guys from out of town that play but are never on the show.

There could be some potentially funny bits with them. Like bring in Jason Sudakis or maybe Danny McBride.

The most of the best scenes have nothing or vaguely anything to do with the league. The league moves the plot, not the comedy.

A lot of the time when they try and force the fantasy football aspect (especially the guest starring roles of the football players) the jokes fall short

Agreed that the guest star spots are mostly stupid, but there is a LOT of comedy based on the league itself. shite, one of the best moments of the series was when Kevin loses the Shiva and goes outside screaming and cursing, and tells his daughter that there is no Santa Claus.
