Chances are it would be tough for 99.99% of folks on here to name 5 other position coaches in the country other than OC and DC, and prob 75% could not do it for those positions as well. Is Cam Cameron a better college QB coach than Jimbo? Is Chief measurably better than Saban, Bud Foster, Charlie Strong, Patterson over the past few years? Is Cam better OC than Kelly (Chip and Bryan), Jimbo, Peterson, Briles, Morris? Just enjoy this national championship season and don't worry bout the comparisons. No definitive way to tell till the Crystal is raised. Based on that we know who has had the best recently. It changes this year

I wasn't a vocal bitcher, but I did think he was past his prime, and an underwhelming hire. I've gone on record before as to how wrong I was.

Coordinators are at the top, but have to give overall to Bama. Hate it, hate to say it, but can't deny what they have done.

Well he took ND to an NC with the strict admissions requirements there. Before that he turned Cinncinati around and led them to an undefeated season. He has done this his entire coaching career.
For the record, I can't stand ND or Bama, but both coaches are excellent.

Michigan fans posted on another site that Michigan officials really blew it in not hiring Les Miles because they would also have Cam Cameron for an off. cord. Chavis and Cam both came here because of LSU but also because of Les Miles. If you were one the best asst coaches in college, who would you want to work for, Sabin or Les Miles? I'ld take Miles, by a mile.
