What are you talking about? My daughter picked it up quickly, havent had any over night issues either.

My son on the other hand still thinks its funny to pull his turds out his diaper and bring them to random people.

eta: daughter is 7, son is 3

Got lucky with my first son, told me he wanted to use the potty just like me. By the time he was was almost 2 he was fully potty trained. My second son i can already see will be a little later

re: 3 Day Potty Training Boot Camp

Sorry, but your 2 year old is way to young for potty training. A 2 year old's nervous system is not developed enough to allow control. Do a little research on the nervous system of a 2 year old and learn about the myelin sheath. Until the myelin sheath is complete, a child will not have the ability to control bladder and bowel. Completion occurs about age 3. Don't rush it! It won't work!

My little dude just turned 2 about a month ago. This is something Ms Rex saw and did some research on and wanted to do over the Labor Day weekend.
There's no yelling and screaming involved
Basically it sounds like you just start putting regular underwear on and take them to the potty every 15 mins. Apparently the point is when they go on themselves they'll really feel it when it's wet and they'll want to get it off sooner than with a diaper.

I have a feeling were just going to be cleaning up and piss and shite around the house and am pretty skeptical, but wanted to see off here really was any success behind it before wasting a perfectly good 3 day weekend

re: 3 Day Potty Training Boot Camp

My son's school told us at 2 that is was time to start potty training and if we didn't work with him at home, then it wouldn't work. They told us to sit him on the potty and not let him get off even if he fought us.

We did what they told us to, and I think we scarred him. He didn't potty train until he was past 3. He used going to the potty to get our attention when our daughter was born.

What I'm trying to say is what most others have said- they will go when they're ready. I'm not discouraging you from trying, but if they fight it, just keep using diapers and try again in a couple of months.

Our daughter just turned 2 in may and she started asking about the potty at about 21 months. She's not trained yet, but they take her at school and we take her occasionally at home. I think she'll be ready to hit it hard this fall/winter, but if she's not, that's ok.

Good luck if you want to try it, but I think your hunch is probably correct. If you're taking him to the potty every 15 minutes, who ends up trained- the kid or the parent?

It took my kid two months to be 100% trained. We started too early ( three months before he turned three). Did the train in a day method

This is what I am talking about. Let them dictate when they are ready. It will take days not months. And it's much easier to change a shite diaper than shite underwear.

We told her it was a potty and she took off her diaper and sat on it

Good thing she sat down, and didn't drop trow, stand in front of it, and hold her crotch

re: 3 Day Potty Training Boot Camp

The whole shite in the underwear thing was the worst.

I felt pressured to train him by his bitch teacher. Looking back pisses me off that I listened to her. Plus he was the only one of his friends that wasnt. I swore i'd start when he was ready, but didnt. All is well now, he even gets up in the night to go pee, but those months of training sucked.
