I'm going to treat myself to a game up there one of these years. Well done, U-dub.

That's what happens when your city is full of homeless drug addicts and hipsters.

It's a big transplant city, so there are a ton of people who have no interest or loyalty to UW

but they are aware that there is a major university in their city correct? to me i dont think it takes a detective to see a ton of people in lsu gear and figure why they may be there.

Very nice. I also like how they are trying to copy Arizona's motto of Bear Down with Bow Down.

This has got to be the new MSB record for most pics in one post

Best stadium in the Pac 12, easily

Beautiful venue, I'd love to see Alabama up there

While I enjoyed my trip in 2009 a lot, to say that renovation was long overdue is an understatement. Sitting on rotting wooden bleachers behind a track didn't exactly scream big time football.

umm that is not the rose bowl trophy. Whats with schools trying to pretend that they won a BCS championship. I remember some other school had one for every championship they won, regardless of when it was.

Its REALLY nice. My only beef as a fan would be the fact that they added a track staidum, moving seats farther from the field. Thats sort of bush league.

Where was the track stadium before? See no reason to have it there.

Hijack: Is Kohler going to play again? Sad to see him hurt all of the time. And is Crane going to redshirt?

Not sure on Kohler. He's been walking around in a boot all camp. If he does come back, he's likely the 6th or 7th guy on the OL right now. And yes, looks like Crane will redshirt. He should be a good one though.

Awesome. Seattle was a great road trip in 2009 and the new stadium and surroundings are some of the best in cfb. I bet now, that stadium will be louder than Autzen.

Husky Stadium could already peak louder than Autzen, but the Duck fans are more consistently loud. Helps when you have something to cheer for . It's been a rough 10 years, although we're slowly pulling out of it.

Does Washington actually have a solid fanbase?

Yes. Arguably the best on the west coast. I know there was that fan base study that was posted here a few weeks ago and Washington was #1 in the Pac-12 according to that.

Played at the Seahawks stadium all last year (and I think part of 2011 as well)

Correct. Played the last game of the season in 2011 at CenturyLink Field and all of 2012.

Like someone else mentioned, that's been part of the fight song for almost 100 years.

It's the Coaches' Poll National Champion Trophy from the 1991 season, not a BCS trophy.
ETA: Here's a closer picture of it.

Speaking of trying too hard, have you seen yourself in this thread?
Someone else started a thread a couple of months ago about it when it wasn't quite finished and I jumped in and said that I would do one when it was completely done.

I'm not a fan of the new stadium. I think the outside looks fairly meh. Truly. No troll.

However, the inside renovations are incredible! Very nice.

I guess my biggest complain about the outside is that they didn't complete the bowl. Due to the recession, they built the stadium for $100 million cheaper than the original estimates.

Why didn't they take the "extra money" and at least finish the lower bowl? They should have wrapped the lower bowl all the way around.

That bothers me.

They don't want to close that end. They want to leave it with an open feeling towards Lake Washington and the Cascades. They will never close that end. They even made sure that the jumbotron wasn't too big so it wouldn't obstruct the view.
