I'm not shocked at all about Ware. I think he's going to make a solid pro. Very strong runner, good blocker, decent hands. He won't be a star, but he'll be serviceable for a number of years.

Ware has incredible hands. Freak athlete. Will be a solid pro for years. Does everything well besides a straight foot race.

At least McKnight can fall back on that Broadcast Journalism degree from USC.

I've seen some "experts" saying that Dallas will be looking to add some OL depth after cuts are made. Maybe Peterman ends up there???

Ford and Ware. If Les would have used em more, we would have won the national championship last year.

I've watched a lot of Lions football over the last four years, and I can tell you Peterman has been pretty bad. He ain't what he used to be; saw him get beat way too many times.

Peterman is pretty bad. He was the worst lineman on their team and one of the worst starters in the league. I don't think that disqualifies him as a backup, but I watched him get penalized on three straight plays last year.

what is the point of a comment like this? Are you saying McKnight is stupid or that a degree from USC is no good or that he didn't graduate?

what's a paper?

a place where you used to be able to go and get in-depth news and investigative reporting; said reporting that actually used quality jounalists that helped us Americns keep watch on the bad guys in politics and other areas. now, of course, they have let go the good ones and use news services that do the same thing the internet does; that is, use snippet headlines merely to attract "hits" and then contain shoddy, half arse articles. it is a shame and, judging by your reaction and that of most of the younger generation i know, it will be much easier for our freedoms to erode in the future. oh well, i'll be dead.

Not surprised by either Ware or Ford. Ford is having a really good preseason, both running and returning.

And Ware is versatile - he can run tough between the tackles, he can catch, he can block in blitz pick-up and he can play special teams. I don't think he'll ever be a star, but he can offer value by helping in different ways. Every NFL team looks for some guys like Ware.

Dallas could do much worse & if you have followed them in recent years, they often do.

They have a lot of unproven linemen & their play has been mostly unimpressive, so Peterman could be no worse than what they do have.

Sadly, a former Tiger who started for Dallas last season, Nate Livings, is sidelined for a while with an injury.

Not released, but flynn prob wont have a job too much longer. That franchise is in the dumps. No one is going to be able to stay healthy behind that line.

Well they found out how tough NFL is....if they were any good they would have made it on the team.

While I agree, I think a lot goes into making the NFL. Sure our fans like to think we are the only team with talent, but it is so far from the truth. there is NFL talent all over the country. There are literally thousands of player trying to make only a few pro Football teams compared to other sports. LSU isnt the only team with players that are over 6 ft and can run fast.

And the ones who stuck to their studies and got a degree have nothing to complain about. They literally were given more opportunities to succeed after high school than most 17-19 year olds in this country.

He's definitely a Brian Westbrook type of player, which is good because the NFL is favoring those kinds of backs more and more nowadays. He runs violently as hell, but he doesn't have blazing speed, so he may never be a "star" in the league. But, he will most likely be very valuable to a team that is willing to use him properly.
