Parker
Then Roby. or keep 5 WRs
Yup, and Roby is the special teams leader in coverage, so he is staying. I would love to see Tanner make it, but he will be the toughest cut instead.

and if Roby gets cut, we'll likely keep an extra safety. His spot will be filled with another ST player, not Tanner
as good as Tanner has been, he does the same thing Lance Moore and Stills can do. He'll never play.

Last WR & last RB is a really tough call. I have:
Preston over Tanner - Being physically stronger, having added special teams value, & having a 40 reception season with the Bucs in 2011 will make the difference.
Robinson over Cadet - Much less confident here, its really a toss up. Typically I go with the better special teamer which favors Cadet. In this case I'm going with the better pure runner who will be thrown into the mix if Ingram or Thomas gets hurt. That being said Cadet would be a better fill-in if Sproles gets hurt. Toss-up

A receiver will go down to injury fairly early in the year so someone will be called upone way or another before the year's out.

he looked good but he will sadly get cut. Probably practice squad guy

He should make the roster. His level of play should give him a spot,

No. He was in on a couple of tackles on kick offs also.

And this is our damn problem tons of extra offensive talent and we are short four or five players on Defense

I do remember hearing that Tanner was on the practice squad for the past two years. He can also play at evey WR position. The guy cathces everything thrown to him. He should be able to find his spot on Special Teams and be an asset to this team.

I'd go with Parker because of his NFL experience, but I'd like to keep Tanner. Too bad neither is as good on ST as Roby.

So, if 1 WR goes down, it's not a big deal at all- if it's a starter, then one of the young guys (Stills or Toon) might steal that spot and keep it, and the other is still there for depth. If one of the young guys gets hurt, the other is still there as our 3rd WR.
If you like/respect Tanner, let him go and find a team that can use him.
Edited; about the only other option is to keep Tanner and Parker, and maybe try to trade one of the starters for a linebacker. Is there a team with the right need at WR, and a good young LB they can deal?

Tanner was doing great in last year's preseason before he had gotten hurt. And he has done it again... The kid has great hands... They're like glue.. I hope he makes it... He is like a young Joe Horn, wasn't fast but he knew how to separate from his opponents and catch the ball...

I must say, i have personally been impressed with Tanner this preseason and would love to see him on the roster......but with what we have, i don;t think he makes it.
the kid has talent, just is unlucky as hell about making a roster. regardless, i do believe he will be playing somewhere this year.

Funny and true.
I hope he makes the team over Roby but I doubt it.

Tanner
Parker
Parker takes Roby's spot of ST. I have to be consistent year after year.

I'm afraid I have to agree with ole Lester here. If Roby is cut, which he wont' be, they still don't keep Tanner. I like Tanner. I hope he can hang around in case something bad happens, but the dude deserves a shot. He can obviously play, but is value isn't as high as, say, Jericho Nelson, on special teams, when he likely won't be active on game days anyway.
