Last season he sucked at punting not sure if injured, doped up, or didn't give a shite. His previous season was stellar, long punts great hang time, and drop dead punts inside the 20

Somebody put together an in depth analysis on The Rant completely disproving your thesis. I was surprised.

I would be surprised by that, too.

It really is a shame. That 2011 season...phew. I think he should get credit for maybe 20-30% of the success that season. It was amazing how many times he either flipped the field or pinned people deep. It seemed as if he were setting a new prototype for punter of the future with his ball placement.

Totally agree.

As for my earlier comment regarding his fathers influence, I stand by it. Sure, people need to be responsible for their own actions. Brad followed in his fathers footsteps, though, in attempting to bring Aussie style kicking to American football. His father has filled him with a lot of unrealistic expectations and arrogance. It showed last year. Brad has nothing without football, and his father told him and everyone else college didn't mean squat because brad would make it all in the pros. Good thing the girl he knocked up has some family money.

That is a real shame... IMO a father's job is to prepare his kids for life... not fill their heads with unrealistic expectations.

He won't. He's not that good. NFL punters average in the high 40's - low 50's. If he's barely averaging 40 then he has no shot.

something tells me the 40 number is net and the number you're using is average.

Should have stayed another year. Don't know if that would have done him any good or not as far as the pros are concerned, though. Would have been good for us.

He kinda sucked last year. And he think he popped on as many drug tests as Tyrann did.

You have to look at where he was kicking from too, especially when looking at 8 punts over two games. From what all of the local sports guys who follow practices as well as the games said, he was a better kicker than Jones but Jones was just more consistent. It appears that Jones played the best he has to date this Summer. You might see Wing back if Jones falls off in the first few games.

He wasn't showing it on the field. His thug attitude probably didn't help either.

You think you are a better evaluator of talent than NFL coaches?

[quote]Add rumors of drug use, skipping classes regularly and a baby. [/quote

He used to tweet all the time about how much he hated school work so getting a degree is probably not in his future.
Too bad, because most folks like what he represented as a foreign student coming to America, yada, yada, yada !
If pro ball doesn't work out for him quickly, he may have "adjustment" issues !
