The Max 4 on their waders is pretty dark. It's not real shiny like it is on some products

These 2013's have the new boot?

I'm wondering how much more or less insulation this is than my current waders. I have no idea how thick the thinsulate is in them.

I saw that, I think the boots on mine are 1200 grams of thin thinsulate vs. 1000 grams in the new ones. Drake 3.5 mm only has 800 g in the boots, which makes for a chilly hunt if you've got to stand in water.

You can only get them at Mack's. The price is sommewhere between $200-$250 depending on model. You nay still be able to get last years 5mm big ditch wades for $160, they had them on clearance a few weeks ago.

You can also unbuckle both, let them out and use them as a belt, that's why the buckles are reversed on each shoulder.

Always wonderd why my snap buckles were opposite on either shoulder.

They didnt have my size left in 2012's. but the 3.5 mm was about $215 for big ditch which i dont mind. How close does shoe size and wader size correlate?

Most waders i have owned run pretty true for foot size. It is the chest size you have to be more worried about. The bigger the shoe size, the bigger the chest size. Which sucks for a skinny tall person.

I kinda feel like my short stature is going to be a problem. Im about 5'9" and wear a size 11. Can prolly sqeeze a 10 tho.

Remember you will have thicker socks on so it might not be the best idea to squeeze into a 10. Your best bet would be to just try some on and see which ones fit the best.

I wear a 10.5 tennis shoe and the size 10's fit pretty good with just one pair of regular socks.

I went waist high Hodgman lightweight a few years back, will probably never go back. Never hot, keep my pants clean when not wading and no straps to deal with under coat or over coat.

I have a pair or two of chest waders, but one is still in box and the others haven't been used in forever.

So is there a consensus? Its basically between MPW and Lacrosse? Where does Cabelas fall?

Just picked up a pair of cableas northern flight one strap waders at their waterfowl sale this past weekend..they are 200$ and well worth the money all of cabelas waders are really good IMO..I was kinda hesitant on the one strap but it is comfortable and works well..also they have regular stout and tall sizes to fit anyone. Mpw has good waders also just get what fits you the best and has decent reviews
