Please tell me how you equate a professional bank robber to a CIA analyst.

Bens probably pissed that TDKR already used the "burning symbol of the superhero" technique

The profession of a character is 1/100th of what makes that character. Sure the backgrounds are different, but he acts as the same character in both roles.

it's batman, not hamlet. I think he'll do a decent job.

If this helps you cope with the fact that WB just dropped a watery deuce on one of the most beloved comic book characters of all time, then so be it. You're just creating false hopes.

People like you are the reason we're in this predicament.

Exactly. It's far more important to get the villain right.

When Affleck's Batman throws a punch, the guy on the receiving end will fly back just like they did for Bale and Keaton.

As for Bruce Wayne? I think Affleck can handle playing a good looking 40 something rich guy just fine.

if ben affleck dies after filming he will probably be considered the greatest batman ever.

his acting on the other hand...

Was good in Good Will Hunting. Terrific in The Town. Solid in State of Play and and Argo.

He had a run of a few clunkers, but those had problems other than the acting as well.

the more i think about this casting the more i like it.

fanboys are fickle. put in a good performance and they will stfu. before batman begins most fanboys had probably never heard of christian bale. now they are all over his dick.

yeah he's just had some terrible judgement as far as choosing projects to do. is that on him? sure. but it's real hard to turn in a great performance when everything else around you is shite.

affleck is just now hitting his stride. if they let him direct the JLA movie i will be extremely happy.

I wouldn't expect Batman to be a side character. They wouldn't bother wasting money on bringing in a name for a small amount of screentime either

Of course they would. This is their first big time tie-in to Justice League and they will need a few big names to lead the way and Henry Cavill isn't one. It wouldn't shock me if they are having Affleck sign on for at least 2 movies if not 3. Furthermore, it is possible that none of those movies would be Batman.

I'm not against Affleck as Batman. he has the look and build to be Batman and Wayne and is a solid actor when given the material to work with. I thought he was fine in Daredevil, there were just so many other major frick ups in that movie to make it terrible.

As for Ledger, I was one that wasn't impressed with the casting of him as the Joker. I didn't throw a hissy fit like 95% of the whiners and criers when they announced it but I didn't have high hopes for him as the Joker. He was the biggest reason why Dark Knight was a great movie, it wasn't Bale.

put a cape on him and that reminds me a lot of the animated movies style Batman. Sleeker look without a lot of clutter.
