I think we got some from Lakeside once. Huge mistake. Not because it gets you ripped, it's just they're overly sweet and feel sick from the sugar before you do the alcohol. I'd much rather a sweet flavored high-ball and the move onto something else once the sweet tooth is taken care of.
Yeah I don't get the appeal of all that sweetness. The drive-thru daiquiri shop in front of Thrifty on Youree though .. used to hit that up couple times during the summer when I was home from college.

Vodka Freeze. I like to keep it simple. I bet the white russian one is real sweet, though.

I drink real drinks. I haven't had a daiquiri since I was under 21.
Meh. I was good for one maybe once a year. Pretty sure they are real.

White russian with a little strawberry at the bottom and chocolate syrup swirled around the cup. 2 extra shots of vodka or grain.

I like them in particularly in the summer. I liked the king cake and the Cajun eggnog this past year. They taste similar to a white russian in a way. Nothing like a king cake. Good dessert drinks. I like pina colada, strawberry marg and dreamsicle.
I've never heard that about black men liking dacquiris. Interesting. I do see men in line for them, though. I haven't noticed their ethnicity, however.

My favorite daiquiri is the one without the fruit, ice, sugar, and instead of rum, it uses bourbon.

Okay, do any of you remember that there is an actual cocktail called a daiquiri? It's one of the six basic cocktails, as a matter of fact.
The frozen shite y'all are talking about is an abomination. fricking strawberry? Bubble gum? Geez us krist.

When I was under 21 the it was kitchen sink from drive side when it was on terry parkway. Perfect spot to stop to grab one to go on the way to the quarter.

I worked part time at NO original daiquiris back in the day and this was one of my favorites. I used to make the best batches. I dont remember the exact quantities, but the ingredients were as follows...( in a 50 gallon drum )
1. several half gallons of Bordens egg nog
2. few gallons of whole milk
3. one large bag of powdered vanilla ( 2+ lbs )
4. box or two of brown sugar
5. nutmeg
6. few bottles of Kentucky dale bourbon
7. few bottles of Southern Comfort.
8. Top it off with enough water so it freezes in the machine.
You need to do a lot of stirring ( with a kayak paddle ) in between adding each ingredient.
ETA: We would usually make 20 gallons at a time.

That's why it tastes good-the ingredients.
I also like the praline freeze at Ruth's Chris. I am but a simpleton, though, and proud of it. I also enjoy pedestrian foods sometimes. It's a good life I have. A very good life. to me.
